  • Just as you enter Birkat al-Mouz in Oman, you'll find a beautiful falaj named Falaj al-Khatmeen. The falaj system is a 2000 year old network of waterways which serve as a form of irrigation. The falaj in different villages and towns helps to bring water to farms, for washing clothes, and also (as you'll see in the video) services as a source of water underneath outdoor bath houses for people who want to bathe.
Falaj al-Khatmeen was included on the world heritage list in 2006. There is also a small ancient mosque on this walking tour which is still in use to this very day. It was built during Oman's al-Yaruba dynasty.

Nice video my dear friend. This is a very serene area if the place is not much crowded. I'm sure you had a great time. ❤❤

Yep, it is. Friday mornings are usually busy, but in the afternoons, it's quiet. It's a good quick stop too on the way to Jebel Akhdar.
