As a veteran traveler let me say this - travel the way you want
Agreed. Everybody has a different style of travel.
well that's the worse advice i ever heard
Actually , it's true. Imagine you going to a distant country with different dish, like way different. You have to eat(your local dish) something before getting used to the new one or he/she could get health issues
@@phunk8607 😆👍
Yes, that goes without saying. But isn’t it exciting hearing others’ travel stories?
I’m so guilty of the “what if’s.” I’ll be fine packing for a bit and then I panic right before leaving. 😂
I think we’re all guilty of the ‘what if’s’. 🤣. Thanks for watching the video.
Except when you are going on a cruise! They have very limited stock on board.
I have another tip to add. If you are going to be hiking, wear your hiking shoes on the plane. Since these shoes are usually very bulky, this saves space in your suitcase and carry on.
That’s a great tip. Thanks for sharing and watching the video.
Except they might be difficult to remove going through TSA, or not comfortable or too hot wearing for a few hours on the plane.
As a veteran traveler I can confirm these tips are spot-on. Overpacking is all too easy to do, and it can ruin a trip. I’ll add one tip for beach/cruise vacations: if you’re going to spend your days by the pool or on a beach put on your beachwear first thing, and save “real” clothes for dinner. Since you’ll only have worn them a few hours, you can wear them the next day as beach/pool coverups. You can pretty much cut your clothing needs in half this way. Also, for the price of a checked suitcase you can pay the hotel to do a load of laundry.
Thanks so much for the compliment and thanks for sharing your tips.
If travelling overseas DONT decant your meds into zip lock bags ,customs might hold you up while getting pills tested, keep them in original pharmacy packet with your name and the name of your medication on the packet
That’s an interesting tip, and thank you for sharing. I’ve never had that experience or problem.
I also carry a copy of my prescriptions in case they get lost .
I use a collapsible silicone water bottle. I love it. I avoid using single use plastics so put all my charging cords in one of my old eyeglass cases. I don’t carry a wallet. If I need a physical credit card, it slips into the back of my RFID phone case. I can slip some cash in there too. My phone is on a lanyard that goes around my neck and under my shirt. We almost always travel carry on only but as someone who moved often and has a kid living abroad, I learned not judge those with giant suitcases. Those people may be moving their entire household in those suitcases (and that’s pretty damn good). I don’t need eSIMs either. We have the TMobile plan with international data included. No more paying extra when we travel. I use laundry sheets to wash my clothing while traveling. I plan and pack mix and match outfits. I don’t wear jewelry. I wear a silicone wedding band (I’m a weightlifter). The good stuff stays home. If I’m staying somewhere more than week, I will buy toiletries there.
The collapsible water bottle is such a good idea!
Great tips!!!
All great tips. Thanks for sharing.
Carry on causes it's own set of problems and airlines are cracking down. It is hard NOT to jidge those whose carry on cases really are too big and we spend extra time sitting at the gate waiting while people find spaces for their luggage and the attendants are playing Jenga. Sometimes it causes delays in the take off line up and we all could have used that time to go collect checked bags.
I am going to respectfully give an alternative opinion. I don’t travel often and don’t go out a lot a home so my yearly holiday is my time to shine! 😀I enjoy dressing up for nice dinners and shows and don’t want to wear the same thing every day or dull monochrome outfits. I also recommend bringing small bills of cash for tips. ATM’s charge hefty fees for cash withdrawals and many credit cards charge an exchange fee for purchases made in a different currency. (Some travel cards do not)
Big yes to small pouches or ziplocs!! I am always curious about why (or how) those chunky toiletry bags from Amazon that everyone seems to hawk are remotely easy to pack. Smaller ones are far easier to tuck in corners, etc. I used to be a chronic overpacker, but I’ve come around! That said, committing to 2 pairs of shoes is still a big challenge for me! 😝
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and yes, packing just two pair of shoes is hard. 🤣Thanks for watching the video.
When we were in Rome, my husband was surrounded by a bunch of kids trying to pick pocket him. So I second not bringing a lot of cash! Rome is lovely, you just need to be cautious
This is a great story for future travelers. Thanks for sharing and make sure to subscribe to the channel.
It depends on the vacation. I will check a bag if there are certain items I want to bring for longer trips or if I'm going to be shopping and want to bring back things. Carry on is very limiting. They are good for shorter trips but not longer trips like a long cruise. I agree with everything else.
I agree! It depends on the trip I’m taking. There are some things I’ve learned I just don’t need anymore. Thanks for watching and for your feedback!
I find the trend to only carryon helps build air rage. People bring two big items, bins over fill, their back packs swing and hit you because people have no idea where they are in space, they take ages to get settled, need to jump up and grab their bags so they can stand and wait longer to deplane. The cabin is cluttered and seat pockets and feet space all cluttered.
I’m the opposite. I’d rather be largely unencumbered and relatively clutter free. So what if I have to wait a bit at the luggage carousel for my checked bag. I’ll grab a coffee, use airport wifi to send some texts, browse the duty free, read.
Yes i enjoyed this video, Thank you.
Great video! One thing I do is make sure the little “card holder” is RFID
That’s an excellent tip. Thanks for sharing.
What is RFID?
@@janetfalconer2341it is protection so that your credit and debit card info cannot be gathered by someone near you with a scanner. Most travel wallets and passport wallets now have that feature

I always travel with a hydroflask full of Ice through TSA. I add water after TSA. Our last flight had lots of turbulence and we got no drink service. It saved my life.
Great information! Thank you.
You’re so welcome. Thank you for watching the video.
I’m an extra outfit just in case person. Every time I don’t pack the extra outfit I will need it. If I pack it, it’s insurance against a dinner disaster.
That’s a great tip just in case :-) thanks for watching the video.
@jc1400 I’m def a “just in case” type of person.. but I don’t pack 16 items, just one or two….lol!!!
I am getting ready for a trip to Europe. I only ever bring a carry on. But I needed to hear these tips.
Glad you enjoyed the tips. Thanks for watching.
Haven’t needed to check a bag for 24 years. Carry-on is the way to go if we don’t want to lug around the kitchen sink. All these tips are spot on. You clearly know your travel. Thx. 👏
Thanks so much for your comment and for watching the video.
useful video to have bookmarked just to make sure nothing was missed or if space/luggage is an issue. Personally, I went to the Mauna Kea summit so I packed my second luggage bag full of winter gear and used my first one to pack ultra light clothing and essentials for 2 people. Zero additional fees
Thanks for watching the video and sharing your story 😀
So true!

best sensible advice!!!!!!!! too bad trying tell this to friends and family members on trips... upstream battle.

I bring all toiletries in solid or stick forms. Everything in a underseat backpack and a sling bag. All clothings in merino wool that regulate your body temp and quick dry once wash with paper detergent sheets in the sink. 2 pairs of shoes ( sneakers that I wear and a pair of walking sandals). Then my electronic stuff and a small first aid/medical pouch. Everything small either in pouches or tiny travel size. For 1 week I bring only 3 sets of t shirts with one long sleeve, two shorts and one long pants all in colors that work with each others and works well for the weather I m going to. And one packable water resistant jacket.
Great tips. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for watching the video.
Contact lens cases work awesome for cremes and lotions
That’s a great idea. Thanks for sharing and for watching the video.
I tried this recently for liquid foundation, and it gets all over the screw on part of lens case. Not sure about this hack. Going to try one more trip to see if I change my mind.
Also contact lens case for a small pair of earrings or necklace.
I agree. Been using screw cap set for creme & lotion or other things. Wrks well
Informative content. Note not all phones are esim compatible, even those mid range phones just released. What I do is find a local provider and go to the outlet nearest my hotel on day 1 to get a plan and simcard. In EU it's only about 15-20 euros for a plan that will give me a phone number and enough data for a 3 week trip.
Agreed with us. It’s a great option to get a local SIM
Spot on!
Thanks so much and thanks for watching
You need a bunch of one and five dollar bills for tipping upon arrival. I certainly dont tip with a $20 unless their service was worth that much, but it's rare.
Great tip. Thanks for sharing.
I just came back from Paris this week. I didn't pack a lot in my bag, but it was great cause it gave me so much room for my shopping.
Oh yes, shopping in Paris. 🥳😀Hope you had a great time.
Thank you for sharing these helpful tips!

Great tips. I'm going to start applying these tips for next time I travel. I totally overpacked on my last vacation and used half of my clothes 😅 live and learn.
It’s so easy to overpack. Thanks for watching the video and make sure to subscribe to the channel.
Also carry prescriptions for medicines and specs. On my first trip to London l left my specs in a pew in St Paul's Cathedral. A replacement pair was much cheaper because l didn't need testing.
That’s a great tip. Thanks for sharing.
You are spot on. When I travel, I only take a carry-on and as little as possible. I too have AT&T and that 10 dollars a day added up to close to 500 dollars for one month. For my trip coming up, I will check out the E Sim.
So appreciate your feedback. Have a great trip.
Don't see how AT&T charge could add up to $500. That $10/day plan caps at $100.
@@jcat1977 well it didn't for me. I was gone for 28 days . It should have been 280. Anyway, E sim is the way to go
Loving your videos! I' m learning a lot...I am the "what if" person... 😂
Traveling is a blessing and very special and I do love my fancy clothing. And I also make sure to have plenty room in my laggage for souvenirs.
YES!!!!!
I love my fancy clothes and usually will bring one nice thing on a trip. Everything else stays at home. Thanks for sharing your comments.
I’ll never again travel without a few Folger’s coffee singles (like tea bags but with coffee in them). I once went six days without coffee when I was visiting an elderly relative in Ireland. She only had tea in her house and while I do drink tea, there’s nothing like a cup of coffee in the morning! ☕️
I can’t find these anymore
@@SageWords2027 I get them by the case from Amazon.
Amazon
wasn't there a shop in the village you could have bought a small jar of coffee?
That’s a great tip. Thanks for sharing.
The what if…. All you need for this category is a nice looking raincoat that could double as a nice looking outer layer. And a first aid kit. And there you’re covered
Those are two great tips. Thanks for sharing.
Good tips but some countries in Africa and Asia want new dollar bills-usually 50’s and 100’s. ATM’s don’t always work or are empty. I never travel with anything of value either! 😊
That’s a great tip about new dollar bills in certain countries. Thanks for sharing.
I couldn’t think of anything worse than doing carry on for an overseas trip. I love my shopping! And posting items back home can be very costly
Americans are obsessed with it - They have all had to do it because the airlines there charge for hold luggage. The rest of the worlds airlines include it in the fare, apart from budget ones. I would hate going carry-on only, restrictive.
@@sarahfilbey275What’s restrictive is arriving in Amsterdam and discovering that your ginormous suitcase will not fit in the small spiral staircase up to your room. Or finding that the tiny hotel elevator in Paris barely holds you and your suitcase. Restrictive is having to pay a taxi to get to the station then pay a baggage handler to get everything inside to the train.
We all love shopping :-) thanks for watching the video.
@@missmayflower Got back from Europe a few months ago and had no trouble with my luggage. I made sure my hotels had elevators and did my research. I think it’s great that people can do carry on only. But it’s not for me
I save up my ready to throw out clothes for trips, leaves maximum space for new treasures. Also I often put wheeled empty duffel inside my 4 wheel suitcase.
Ha-ha! I just bought a 32 oz travel bottle 😂. But you’re right- it’s way too bulky! Spot on on carry-on, just take one with wheels, cuz the big backpack types are uncomfortable and way too heavy (from experience). I loved the tip about small ziplock bags. Kudos!
Exactly! I don't want to be weighed down with my luggage. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Please like this video and subscribe to the channel so CZcams will recommend this video to other travelers like you :)
Totally agree with the water bottle. I can understand the desire to be environmentally friendly, but finding water fountains can sometimes be tricky and once you are out big cities, sometimes whether or not the tap water is safe to drink can be questionable. Which means you end up having to open plastic bottles anyways to refill it. There's also something to be said for grabbing an ice cold water from a convenience store after a hot day of exploring. I buy a plastic bottle (or use the free one that is sometimes in my hotel room) but hold onto the bottle so that refilling it is still an option if it's available.
If I am going on a trip where I know I will have a car for the entire trip, I will consider taking a suitcase. Otherwise, carry-on only is so freeing.
I love when you say, "Are you kidding me?!". I know you mean business and you're saying it with love.
Ha. It’s the southern girl in me 🤩
As a traditional "overpacker", I appreciate tips on downsizing. I'm going to Alaska for 2 weeks, 1 week cruise included. and refuse to take a 30" piece of luggage. Capsule wardrobe pieces are a must...I think.😅
I feel you! I typically avoid taking big luggage if I can help it. Capsule wardrobes are so helpful for traveling.
Thanks for watching and commenting! I hope you have a wonderful trip to Alaska.
You left out 5 dollar bills for tipping…. Tipping housekeeping, bellmen, etc. that’s very important for travelers to know
I agree bringing small bills is important. Thanks for sharing your tips.
👏👏👏👍💞
Thanks 4 sharing! New 2 Ur Channel. 😃
Welcome to the channel! Thanks so much for watching :) I'm glad to have you here
I buy a bottle of water in the airport and I reuse it my entire trip. My kids kind of make fun of me but it works for me! (At home I always use a reusable bottle). ALSO if you're in Vegas and you buy a cold Starbucks drink, KEEP the cup and use it later to make a to-go cocktail in the room before you head out to walk on the Strip!
Those are great travel hacks. Thanks for sharing.
ATT is updating their data plan next week to $12/day
Helpful tips, but I can’t go with recs for toiletries. Being a POC, you can’t just use stuff at airbnbs or hotels that are not formulated for my hair or skin.
I'm not a POC, but I do have annoying cosmetics allergies and sensitivities. I usually make sure I have enough of the basics to cover the trip, but have found that with the exception of sunscreen, I use less of each item than I think. So instead of bringing 100ml of something, I'll bring 30ml or even 15ml of something.
I generally do not use the toiletries provided at the hotels or resorts, unless I've tried them before on a previous trip. But sometimes they change their products. That said, I'll still use the hand soap and lotions, and bring the bath soap, shampoo and conditioner home to try. If I don't like them I give them to someone who can use them. I have sensitive skin and break out on harsher ingredients, sometimes found in some complimentary toiletries; so I bring my own body wash, shampoo and conditioner compatible to my skin and hair. One BIG tip: if you are going on a week or two vacation, use your traveling items at home for the time you will be vacationing. This will tell you exactly how much product to bring. Second tip: if you have left over shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc, use them up at home if you will not be traveling soon, so they don't use their effectiveness. Most have a time frame to use the product once opened. Before your next trip, just refill with your current toiletries.
A POC here and that's the absolute TRUTH! 🌹
I completely understand. I don’t like overly scented items. Thanks for watching the video and for your comments.
a 32 oz hydroflask is great for travel esp if you'll be out all day!
I’d still choose to bring my reusable water bottle over the disposable plastic ones.
Yes, it is better for our planet. Thank you for your comment.
Get a collapsible bottle. Avoid plastic. I totally agree!!
Same!!!!
Lots of good tips. Except I never reuse single-use water bottles anymore. I used to bring a collapsable Vapur water bottle but this year gave away all my reusable travel plastic bottles and bought a Zijorushi slim stainless steel water bottle from Amazon. It's not bulky or heavy and keeps cold water cold, nice in hot climates and hot things hot. I love it and it was worth the expense. It's basically a thermos. I got it in orange because that color was on sale and because it's harder to lose being bright. It fits easily into the side pocket of my daypack but it's so slim I can carry it inside the bag also. I was in Thailand (where it's made) and Japan (the company that makes it) in Feb. & March and thought I'd buy another one but the prices were actually higher there than on Amazon!!!
I like buying pharmacy type things, cosmetics etc., in europe because they are much cheaper than in the island where I live in Puerto Rico.
That’s a great tip. Thanks for sharing and for watching the video.
Amen to all of those "just in case" items. No need for them.
It’s so hard not to pack them though. :-) thanks for watching the video.
I agree… one of those small fold up ponchos is about the only JIC item I’ll stash in case of a rainy sightseeing day.
Thanks, Kim, for these travel packing lighter suggestions. 😊❤️✈️🧳

How do you pack over the counter meds?
I packed over-the-counter meds in their original packaging in a Ziploc baggie. Thanks for watching the video.
For those of us that actually hike on travel we do bring appropriate gear. But those are our regular clothes lol. Cash if fine but please if you are traveling Internationally have an ATM card that works overseas with a decent amount of money in the account. In some countries cash is still how things work. Japan for example. If you want a quick bite to eat no cards. Many countries haven't updated taxies to take cards and Uber isn’t everywhere. Having access to money is very important.
Regarding not bringing toiletries. I never touch the liquid soap dispensers at hotels. Usually they have allergenic preservatives in Thailand. Get a small bottle at 7 insteas, and READ the ingredients list!
Thanks for sharing this tip.
When using the little zip locks, how do you stop you jewelry from tangling?

I don’t know if it’s the same in other countries, but in the uk, 🇬🇧, some banks need to know you are going away, because of theft. My fella used his card, and it got rejected, so had to phone his bank, and tell them it was him who had tried to make a transaction, in another country! 😊
I still notify my Banks with an expect return window. Is the last thing you want to have it freeze for traveling.
Some banks, such as Chase in the United States, do not require a travel notice and in fact won’t accept/process any such notice that you attempt to give them. 😌
Yep. They say you won't have an issue. But them they text you to. Confirm it's you, but you now have an international number so you don't get it, it's rejected and you're up the creek....
I recommend letting the bank know that you’re traveling overseas. It’s a great tip and thanks for sharing.
Just ask your bank if it needs to know you are travelling. Mine doesn't (France).
Security specialists would disagree with using any hotel safe. They are not secure because hotel staff have access in most cases.
I pack old clothes and underwear that I plan to throw away anyway. So when I travel back home I have less items than I had when I left. Plus, if I plan to buy a new shirt 👕 or something, I have enough room in my luggage.
I try traveling with carry on only and the result is not good. I take a check in luggage and a carry on.
I tried to download the "what I pack in my carry on" but it kept saying "page not found"...
My apologies. I am getting fixed. Thank you for letting me know.
No, lady, i am noy kidding you.
If I have Porter or travel assistant to take care of the luggage, why not a big luggage?
Put a bar of soap in a plastic bag so it can turn into mush..."are you kidding me?"
Maybe cut it into several smaller pieces and put them in snack bags so you can toss them out after use?
There’s no need to create plastic garbage like that. There’s special bags you can buy for bar soap that are water tight and yet allow the bar to dry. It’s some kind of sorcery.
That's a great point! I actually like this travel soap bag now - amzn.to/44gXQlv
If you travel with cash, carry it on your person, not in your luggage (including backpacks). Police may stop you at the airport to perform a “consensual search” and could confiscate any cash found “as evidence” while they “investigate.” You can go through a process to reclaim your cash later but it’ll be a big hassle.
That’s a great tip. Thanks for sharing.
Would be nice if hotels, vrbos or airbnbs would have unscented soaps & hair products
I agree. I don’t like scented things either. Thanks for watching the video.
Actually, you need to bring cash to Thailand. Any currency. But it needs to be above a certain amount they specify as enough to support you throughout your stay. I've never had them check, but they use this (lack of money or perceived lack of money) as an excuse to refuse people they (passport control) don't like at the border. At this point you'll be able to use phone or watch to pay in most stores. At 7-11 they won't let you do that unless the sum is more than 200 Baht.
Thanks again for sharing your tips.
I was just in Thailand and that never happened to us. No one asked us about our money. We flew into Bangkok and went through immigration & customs, with no issues. I bought a sim card good for 2 weeks for my phone (unlimited internet) while still in the airport ($20) and got about $50 worth of baht from an ATM there also. Perhaps you got unlucky.
@@camelgirl65 I never had it happen either, but if you get asked and don't have enough currency, there's no way to get money and you WILL be expelled. They do NOT accept anything but currency.
My two Cents...
1. I us a "Bota Bag" (basically an animal hide beverage bag). Its shape is such that it can be packed flat and can hold a decent quantity of water/liquid. There is a plastic liner/coating that allows liquids to be potable.
2. I keep my 2 in 1 (Surface Pro) in a TSA approved laptop bag, complete with individual pockets for cables, USB drives and accessories. Extra bags are not needed.
3. I have a standard billfold that I keep in my "FRONT" pocket. I use to do this only when I travel, but now I do this everywhere I go.
4. I travel on an extreme budget, so I travel with maybe USD20.00 to buy snack during my overseas flights. When I arrive at my destination, I withdraw a small amount from an ATM to cover transportation to my destination. I am also very careful as to how much and how often I withdraw from an ATM to mitigate the ATM and international banking fees. I save the trouble of going through the conversion process as the money will already be in the local currency.
5. For several decades I travel with only Carry-on. I use a convertible duffle bag (duffle bag with shoulder and backpacking straps). I also pack a collapsible back pack that doubles as my personal bag, as well as my day/laundry bag.
6. My phone is a gaming phone with a dual SIM card slots. I use T-Mobile with good international rates, but I also have the option of buying and using a local SIM to use in my host country.
7. As a Veteran, one thing the Military bestowed on me was the concept of packing attire. One pair of pants and seven shirts = seven outfits, two pairs of pants and seven shirts = 14 outfits. I combine that with a pair of loafers (I tend to wear my all purpose hiking shoes).
8. (see comment 7)
9. Everything I travel with is strictly for function, When traveling with carry on space is a premium.
10. I travel with the bare essentials. Any additional items I buy at my destination as needed. Ironically, I save money over the long haul by buying good quality, name brand items. Oddly enough as being of African descent, there are grooming and hygiene items that are geared to my race. I travel exclusively to Southeast Asia, and to my surprise, the Pharmacies have the items specific to my hygienic needs. There are very few places on the globe where you can't buy personal items as needed. That makes carry on travel so much easier.
11. (see comment 10)
12. For me, hair dryers is a non issue as cut off all my hair before I travel. This helps me save on grooming accessories and simplifies my grooming choices.
13. I learned my lesson on bring "what if" items. The only what if Item I bring is an umbrella. I just bought a new umbrella for travel (my previous umbrella I have used for over "20" years). the longest Item I still have in my possession. I can't count that as a what if item as I will be in Southeast Asia during the rainy season, so having an umbrella is a given.
Amazing feedback. Thank you for sharing.
For how many days are you packing this lightly?
It’s funny, I take the same amount of things for a week or a month. I can pack in a carry-on and travel long-term if necessary.
A delicate laptop , where can it be safely kept in a luggage on the plane. Should i just hold it up for the full journey or in a backpack?
Put your laptop in a bag (or a backpack) that you carry with you and is small enough to fit under an airline seat.
You can buy backpacks that have a protective computer space. I carried one around Thailand for 2 weeks about 15 years ago when laptops were bigger and bulkier. My backpack had a hard shell space for the computer and after planes, trains, taxis and busses, it was just fine!
I recommend a backpack with a sleeve for your computer to keep it safe. Thanks for watching the video.
We Love Target!!
We truly miss Target in Canada!
We regularly go to Target, in the U.S.
Hope they can regain their strength in the market.
Go Target Go!! ❤
I love target too. Thanks for watching the video.
Every travel influencer talks about carry-on only. Have you noticed that each one of these influencers are a “small”. That’s easy to pack in a carry-on bag. If you are a large or bigger, then there is no way you can fit the same number of clothes that is being packed as shown.
I like your comment. I’m 5 foot 11 and wear a size 10 shoe. I do go carry-on, but it’s not always easy. Thanks for watching the video.
Exactly my big girl clothes..do take up more room..lol
I pack carry on only, and then I check a bag. I got tired of buying cheap luggage on every trip to get everything home. 🤣 My stuff multiplies like rabbits.
And I absolutely pack for what ifs. Because I use it *every* *single* *trip*. Try finding cold medicine in Tallinn on a weekend. Try finding anything on a cruise ship without paying for a visit to the medical ward. I got an upper respiratory infection in Egypt and I already had antibiotics and Allegra-D ready to go. Didn’t waste a minute on doctors or pharmacies. Worth it to me!
@@AndreasAnticscan one get antibiotics over the counter?
@@SilviaHoard in some countries you can get it over the counter. They’re just not open 24/7 like we have here. And especially if I don’t speak the language, I’d rather bring my own.
@@AndreasAntics Thanks I'll make sure and take some next time.
So funny. Everything fits neatly in your bag when you leave home, but it seems to grow while you travel. Thanks for sharing your comments. And for watching the video.

Great tip. Thanks for sharing.
I lost one of my favorite drinking bottles, probably left it in a bathroom on the back of the door.
Oh no. It’s so easy to lose things when you travel. Thanks for watching the video. Make sure to subscribe to the channel.
Thanks for the tips but that only works for some hotels not all of them . I went to a highly recommended hotel but it didn't even have soap didn't have service we complained it took 2 days for them to attend the room some issues over booked and it was a mess, didn't have any type of hair dryer or blow dryer no service no machines no ice no coffee nothing that you could get or do on your own everything was either bought at a store or you had to go down to a restaurant to get it so unfortunately not all places do have those things be aware because the situation might change and for my situation I was ready for all those things and it worked out even though I had a little bit more to pack and to carry it was worth it
Research before you book.
I’m sorry you had trouble at a hotel. You can always reach out to them in advance to see if they have these items for you. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Pack a small diffuser and leave your hair dryer behind.
That’s a great tip. thanks for sharing.
I need to drink warm water for my health so what should I do?
Maybe you can carry warm water with you or ask restaurants to provide warm water.
Those little purses are not protected by RDIF. I wouldn't use those for credit cards.
I buy all my liquids at my destination .
That’s a great idea. Thanks for sharing your tip.
Ziploc bag is the best. You can find the stuff quick and easy and is disposable. Those gallon bags can be use as pressure bag 👍 also put your dirty clothes for laundry when coming back. Bring the old underwear and socks throw away as you go. Unless you are going to the remote area. Visiting local markets is also fun
I always carry extra Ziploc baggies with me in different sizes. Thanks for your comments and for watching the video.
Germany
Does not provide shampoo and soap
We were there last Aug for 3 weeks and every hotel and bnb provided shampoo and soap. Hotels typically had the bulk liquid versions so you could fill small empty containers to last your trip. Note the quality of cosmetics in EU is very high, my wife approved of all the products provided! We were around Frankfurt-Austria-Munich, so basically Bavaria.
Thanks for providing this tip.
I cannot find those ziplock bags anywhere! Can someone send me the information?
I use regular ziplock it works just fine. 😅
Target Portionpk Bags or Ziploc brand Portion 100 cal packs

Get some currency for your stopover country so you can tip the porter at your Hotel after they carry your bags.
So a big NO to drinking out of plastocs. My big water bottle may be a bit heavy but it dpesnt add to the plastic content of my body and weaken the immune system.
I wish people would realize thendelays caused by everyone in the world traveling woth carry in bags so there ends up being not enough room and we spend extra time at the gate with flight attendants playing Jenga. That delays the whole flight.
Funny, about flight attendants playing Jenga. 😀. Thanks for sharing. Your thoughts are watching the video.
pickpockets will steal your items you need anti theft items
Great tip. Thanks for sharing.
Make sure you leave your ammo at home
That tiny wallet is impractical, but so is the giant one. aAlong with some cash, a card, and your license\ID DONT 👏 TRAVEL 👏 WITHOUT👏 YOUR👏 HEALTH 👏 INSURANCE 👏 CARD👏.
Are you crazy?? Those esim cards are 6 thousand dollars for the Caribbean!
eSIM prices are different for every country and different companies have different pricing
Carry-on always: pills counted out and packed in plastic bag; snacks in small bags. Heavy clothes and shoes on flight, sweatshirt or jacket can act as a personal pillow. Cosmetics in an eye contact container; passport, credit card, ID, cash, tickets on a strap around the neck; downloaded entertainment on phone. Anything like aspirin or toiletries, shampoo, etc., buy at arrival; go to thrift stores for clothes if weather changes (you can leave them behind.) Email address or mobile number in everything that might get lost or left behind.
Great tips. Thanks for sharing.
You said no expensive items then you said no cheap items and go for quality.
It’s better not to bring expensive jewelry that make you look like a target for pickpockets and thieves. I recommend bringing quality gear including a quality suitcase, etc. so they don’t fall apart. Thanks for watching the video.
I pack a wallet that i fill with those fake credit cards and pharmacy cards. If I get robbed, I figure a thug won't stand there and check the cards 😊
