How to make a pleated pinwheel petal for flower wreaths - Easy DIY with Carrie's Wreath Creations

  • Thank you for watching this video as I show you how to make a pleated pinwheel petal for flower style wreaths! This petal looks great for either leaves or flower petals and does a great job of hiding cut edges!
    Please watch one of my full length tutorials for instructions about petal placement, supplies and more! This is not a “stand alone” wreath tutorial - it is simply to show how to make the petal.

    A few notes:
    - I used poly burlap, but you can use deco mesh or fabric mesh also.
    - I used a wood burning tool to cut my 10x10" squares. Make sure you have a square...for example if your mesh is 10.5" wide then you need to cut it at 10.5" long.
    - You can find small rubber bands in the hair section at the dollar store. I also got my crafting clips there.
