I’m loving some of your crash races. Shows that even the good racers have issues, makes me feel a little better (not because your race was ruined) but because it shows your passion still to keep going

Raced there in these days. Got bitterly disappointed because I've managed to test all the ways to get wrecked. Got fairly angered with it apart from a race where I've got a P2, least chaotic for me.
The silver lining is that I was privileged enough to compete (like you in this video) with Federico Leo (former Formula Renault 3.5 and GP2 Series driver, competed in 2014 at the 24h of Le Mans, 2011 GT3 European champion, 2012 International GT Open champion and 2016 Italian GT champion). Really nice guy.
So in case you're curious a lifted car is faster in a straight line. It's because ground effect by nature causes drag.
The tighter the hole, the more work it takes to move that air through.
You'll handle better closer to the ground, but speed I'd found in the vertical

this is what happens when you mix NASCAR mentality with European road racing at it's finest. Monza combined will always be in my top 5 track layouts for the chaos it brings.

I have a saying for situations just like 4 wide at Monza Combined - I'll be happier later if I'm not here now. Good call on falling back and letting it play out ahead of you. ETA - I'm gutted for you. That stinks you had a small amount of damage to the aero. HEY HEY! 4th! NICE! That race had everything. I laughed. I cried. 4 stars and 2 thumbs up!

9:11 that where did you come from really made me laugh
Raced this couple times. On first time they went 4 wide on the straight before the chicane with obvious results. Second race was bit before, but it was getting bit boring since in Skippies you max out the car so early on the oval part.

Hi Dave, did you upgrade you graphics card? Getting solid 175 FPS by the looks of it
No still running the 3090. I upgraded my CPU and made some slight changes to the graphics settings. Basically just turned off some of the eye candy which you don't really need when racing 👍
are your monitors able to produce @@davecamm 200 FPS? Your getting 200+ on " Leaving 2023 on high!" AS you can tell im catching up on your videos after Crimbo.

I participated in this race. It seems like for a lot of people chicane appears out of knowhere or they just forget how to use a break.
Brilliant intro again… 😂👌 I asked myself, real life wheel according to the ingame car you are driving isn’t that important to you?! I switch between my GT and round BMW wheel a lot, cause it needs to fit the ingame car. 🤪 there is no „too nerdy“ in sim racing… right, right….?! 😂

I like to use the same style rim to match when I can. I just really enjoy the Porsche rim I'm using. Seems to work with everything 😁
A sponsor wouldn't stop me swapping gear. That's never an agreement I would accept 👍

I like RaceLab and all, but I haven't subbed in a while because they won't do a copy/paste layout feature. So for me to do a custom prac/qual/race, I have to recreate everything for each session. If only I could copy/paste one session to the next, creating layouts would be exponentially faster.

no damage last lap, zou lose to much before oval, 0,7 behind 5 car, and 5 car was 0,5sec behind 4 car so be inteligent and configure what happend?

@@davecamm if you are 0.7 back of the 5car and the car in front of you is 0.5sec back behind the 4car, and car in front of him is 0.3sec in front, they will thicken before you reach them and you will be out of draft, next time remember this. I see this a lot in the skip, and here in Monza is so visible
It's a race so of course there's going to be car-nage. Unless you were doing motorcycles I guess!
