      I have the same truck and I agree, I dig the wheels. I like your setup. Do you think I be able to tow my 5k-LBS travel trailer with that setup and also change out the tires from a factory General Grabber 175/70/18 to 295/70/18 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT. Would this work or is it a bad idea?

    Awesome vid, been trying for awhile to figure out a wheel/tire/level kit combination and have been getting conflicting info from every shop, believe I'll do the same as you with a more aggressive tire, thanks for the vid, did the leveling give you any more clearance in the end

    • @Inner_Sanctum
      @Inner_Sanctum  Před 2 lety +2

      Yeah, the leveling kit truly lifted the front 1.5” higher and is noticeable when driving off-road, especially on this one urban development project I’m on.
      Before the kit, a few of the limestone rocks sticking out of the ground would rub the front lower skid plate. Now, those rocks don’t even touch the bottom of my truck.
      Turns out I did have a little tire rub, but weirdly it was only when I turned full-lock in reverse. The leveling kit made that go away almost. I had to lightly trim the front mud flaps on the inside. No more rubbing.

  • @MrNismopro
    @MrNismopro Před měsícem

    Do they sell a coil over kit for leveling these. I hate spacers, they just take away from articulation. It’s bad enough you stuff block in the back, which also takes away from tucking the back wheel when hitting obstacles.

  • @anthony_viani
    @anthony_viani Před 2 lety +1

    Love the stance...can you get the same result without spacers if you get new wheels with more of an offset...I think the stock Nissan wheels are +23mm. So maybe a 0mm offset would still let the tires to stick out?

    • @Inner_Sanctum
      @Inner_Sanctum  Před 2 lety +2

      Yeah, of course. You just need to pay attention to the width of the wheel, offset, and tire size.
      Factory Pro-4X wheels are 18x8 +23 running a 275/70r18 tire. 1.5” spacers would be equivalent to a -15 offset in this setup. I think 0 offset is actually perfect for these trucks since you’ll likely be running a wider wheel with a wider tire. So it will more than make up for that 15mm deficit.
      A lot of people think that offset and wheel width are unrelated, and that’s just not true. “Offset” is the offset distance from the center. So, an 18x9 +0 wheel will stick out .5” (12.7mm) further than an 18x8 +0.

    • @anthony_viani

    • @Inner_Sanctum
      @Inner_Sanctum  Před 2 lety

      My honest (revised) opinion:
      I like my Titan. It does exactly what I need it to do and I haven’t had an issue with it thus far. I personally like the look of the truck and enjoy that this PRO-4X is more than capable for my needs/wants, is rather bare bones, and didn’t break the bank.
      I’m not a huge fan of newer trucks for a litany of reasons, including my Titan, but that’s just the way it goes.
      I saw a red Ram Rebel just the other day, and I think they look really badass. Definitely a tough stance on them for sure.
      I think when it comes to new trucks, they are all going to be so similar across the board performance/capability/reliability wise. Just buy the one that stands out to you the most.

    Looking at adding wheel spacers as well to my 2020 Pro4x. I'm torn between Titan and Bora. Like you said Bora is double the price of Titan. Have you had any issues with Titan brand wheel spacers? I know Bora has a warranty on their wheel spacers, does Titan?

      Have had no issues with mine. I’ve put about 10,000 miles on the truck since install. Not sure about warranty. I mean if a solid chunk of metal from Bora or Titan fails, you’ve probably got bigger problems at that point.

    • @Inner_Sanctum
      @Inner_Sanctum  Před 2 lety +1

      Interesting that they rub. Hmm. I’m bummed you got that result.
      I mentioned down on one of the comments that I did actually have a little rub when in reverse at full-lock. Didn’t know till after the video unfortunately. It was only slightly, and mine are 1.5”. So, if you’re running 1” and rubbing bad, I am surprised.
      I just lightly trimmed the inner top side of the splash guard with my oscillator tool, and my slight rub vanished when reversing. Plus, I cut it in a way that was not noticeable unless you had a new one next to you to compare.

    Never done wheel spacers before. Does anything go on the backside of the wheel spacer during install?

    • @Inner_Sanctum
      @Inner_Sanctum  Před rokem

      If you buy the correct fitting hub centric wheel spacers, they are the easiest thing in the world to install.
      You remove your wheel, remove any surface rust from the brake rotor hat (if neccessary), install the wheel spacer w/ the supplied open lug nuts, torque everything down to spec, then reinstall your wheel and torque it to spec.
      Even though it's not really neccessary, I like to remove my wheels after the first 500 miles and check/retorque the spacer lugs to just make sure they are good to go from there on out. I have personally never had one that was loose during the reinspection.

      After wheel spacers? Yes. The truck has a 3” wider track width with the 1.5” spacers. So, it does feel more planted to the road.
      After the leveling kit? No. Since the spacer sits on top of the factory strut/coil body it does not add or decrease spring rate, rebound, or compression characteristics. The truck drives the same in that regard.

    • @Inner_Sanctum

      I don’t think you’ll have an issue with a 1” set of spacers. The studs wouldn’t stick out very far, and the small amount that they would stick out would easily fit into the backside “reliefs” of the wheel.
