Of course it's a Platinum if you get 100% of the base game trophies. No one is forced to buy DLC (specially when so many are garbage) to get 100%, that's just ridiculous.

I totally agree. That's why I wait to spend my money on games I would like to platinum, instead of spending money on the dlc, which I don't need for the platinum.

We don’t have this luxury on steam unfortunately. At least you can buy the complete editions if you are patient during sales for little money (at least on pc).

Spider-Man was my first platinum and Spider-Man 2 was my 50th. He’ll always hold a special place in my heart. 52 platinum’s down and just earned my 5,000th trophy this past Thursday night
I think it’s funny when people think the phrase platinum and 100% are synonymous. In most cases, you don’t have to 100% a game to achieve the platinum trophy.

On Steam they are synonymous. Platinum trophies are the one thing I envy PS players. (And yes, I do have a PS, but very much prefer PC for playing.)

Hogwarts Legacy for instance 100% and All Achievements are not quite the same thing.
You only need to breed 10 beasts for 100% as opposed to 12 for All Achievements for example and only need to play one house for 100%. For All Achievements you need to play all four

I never thought about trophies until I got the PS5 and wanted to replay the previous Spider-Man games. It was my first ever platinum and the combo trophy, I discovered that when you leave one enemy alive, just keep webbing him up in the air 😂

BF3 was so amazing. I have the platinum in that game as well. Only need one of the DLC trophies which I should have gotten, but the trophy didn't pop. That trophy was part of the armored kill DLC. The one where you have to get a kill with a tank that has been launched from the drop ship.

I remember grinding those stupid terrorist hunt trophies, like 100(!) defensive wins(which they changed a few years ago). Those were a real pain in the ass.
All others came naturally since I used to play 5+ hours every day for years 😅. Haven‘t played in years, maybe I should revisit it.

I was super burnt out on TLOU from grinding out the online trophies. If I hadn’t seen Anthony’s speed run there’s no way I would have been able to get the platinum

I also very recently did the Immortals 100% and I agree with you, it was pretty boring aside from the Myths of the Eastern Realm one. I got bored and just started watching videos for the Gods trials so I could get through them as quick as possible. And traversal in that top down one was ASS. Especially getting up or around those damn mountains with no "stamina".

Congratulations, I am so jealous of that Battlefield 3 platinum you managed to get. I have 100% on all the dlc's, I just need 3 co-op trophies and the single player to get the platinum.

@@SANDREZZ Getting the platinum is always more important. For me the problem is I don't have a mic meaning the co-op trophies are either out of bounds for me or will be much harder to do. Keep up the great work.

I’m almost finished with watch dogs 1 halfway through everything just got the dlc and the main game left
I have to ask but have you platinumed plague inc before and if not you should try it also i also recommend the deadpool game that was released on ps3 and 4 im not sure if its easy to get now but i definitely recommend these two i had so much fun competing them personally

I always find it weird when people do trophies/ achievements just for the completion.... I always only play games that I enjoy running through and stay away from shovelware, I've done Mein Leben in Wolfenstein 2, the Halo Laso's, every Call of Duty, and a few other series.
I just finished XCom 2, and have been working through Baldur's Gate 3, Slay the Spire, Lies of P, and Roboquest.
Spider-Man was my first platinum on my ps4 then bought a ps5 and got the platinum on Spider-Man 2 good times fr

in R6S (PC Version) I miss only 1 achievement: 25kill with claymore xD. You had problem with 5 flawless wins and I did it by ancident xD

I started my platinum grind in 2022 and now I have 101 platinum trophies and almost have another. And the other is Rocket league. Rainbow Six Siege is probably my fav multiplayer game to the point that I got every achievement on my Xbox and now going for it on my PS5.

For rainbow six siege I’m struggeling with getting grenade and claymore kills since they are so hard to set up in spots to get kills
Also didn’t they just take away being able to cook Grenada’s making it even harder?

I recently got the platinum in Farcry 6 which was so incredibly tedious. And man I was disapointed to learn that the base game only amounted to like 50% completion. No way I am paying for DLC to play more of the same stupid repetitive gameplay.
