    Sir, in my company if the useful life is below 10years, the formula of the calculation is only NBV/Useful life (monthly), but if the useful life is above 10 years, the formula of the declining method is (NBV/useful life)*2. Do you know the config behind this calculation? I couldn't find any

    Very nice... But y the depreciation year got reduced for dep key 01 to 5 years when u changed the useful life for dep key 30.. video at 13:12

    • @ACSAPConsulting
      @ACSAPConsulting  Před 4 lety

      Thank you for watching. The depreciation percentage is calculated based on the useful life. Hence when useful life is changed, the depreciation percentage is changed and the number of years within which the NBV becomes zero changes. Hence the depreciation year got reduced. Hope this answers your question.

    Hi Abhiram, Good evening, it's very use full section, i have question, like client use the book depreciation key as WDV on 10 years, same depreciation key used for 5 years, later client came to change the depreciation key as SLM method for remain 5 years, previous 5 years Depreciation amount should not be change in books, in this case what are configuration steps we need do in back end.
    in this section you changed the depreciation key automatically changed previous years, (like overwrite previous depreciation)
    waiting for your replay, Thanks - Naresh V

      Hello Naresh,
      Thank you for following my video.
      To achieve your objective you just need to follow the same procedure but the only difference is that in this video before changing the depreciation key I didn't post the depreciation. So you need to post the depreciation for that period and then the key should be changed
