Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk and Families in Tawi-Tawi

Continuing the Administration’s whole-of-government approach in addressing the impacts of the El Niño phenomenon across the archipelago, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads the provision of various assistance to farmers, fisherfolk and families in the southernmost part of the country - the Province of Tawi-Tawi - in a ceremonial distribution at the Provincial Sports Complex in the Municipality of Bongao on May 23, 2024.
Different agencies and departments such as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Agriculture (DA), and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) distribute their respective assistance as they convene for a two-day Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) in the Province. These include cash assistance, employment opportunities, livelihood kits and agricultural assistance, among many others.
During the program, President Marcos Jr. distributes cash assistance to 10 selected beneficiaries in the Province, as well as PhP10 million each to the Provincial Governments of Tawi-Tawi and Basilan.
