  • Three activists who were arrested yesterday at a hotel in Ntinda have been released today after spending a night in Luzira Prison. The trio was detained as they planned to hold a press conference to address the media about the ongoing youth protests. They were released on bail by City Hall Court Magistrate Rehemah Nassozzi.
Meanwhile, ten people, including three National Unity Platform members of Parliament, who were charged and remanded to Luzira Prison by the Law Development Center Court in Makerere on Monday for participating in an unlawful assembly, have been granted bail. The three lawmakers are Mityana Municipality MP Francis Zaake, Katikamu South MP Hassan Kirumira, and Bbale County MP Charles Tebatendege.

Why only those Mps out of the many that were arrested? So U will continue the same as more & more are jailed when U keep segregative in the process of release of the arrested demonstrators. Why don't U stand up & raise the voice at ago when bailing out those arrested & they're released once???
