I think that the "glitch" is scarier than we thought because the infected are sentient enough to speak such as Steven shouting "THIS... ISN'T A GAME!" And skid and pump saying "YEA!" So it's no a stretch to assume that even though they can't control their own body... They are fully aware of what's happening to them and what they do while the glitch is controlling them

Honestly, I like this mod, even if I get my butt cut off and put over Krabs' fireplace everytime I try to play it. The sprite work is phenomenal, plenty of really good songs, and of course, REFERENCES. I do find a couple of problems, like the downgrade on Jake's sprite, but still a fantastic mod made by the community.

[Edit] ok so i thought about a theory i had and... well i think there are both current and past corrupted people. What hasnt been explained is how the corruption works exactly. I mean does it corrupt and remove a single episode or does it remove all other episodes of a series?. It could just select certain parts of a series and corrupt them. My brain has fried.

Explaination to the corrupted Boyfriend song in week 3 of this mod: to cut it short, the corrupted Boyfriend is not the real boyfriend. The Boyfriend your playing as is the real Boyfriend. Because according to the lore/story of this mod, Girlfriend put a barrier around Boyfriend, before probably getting corrupted, so that he can't get corrupted. But if Boyfriend loses a rap battle, then he gets corrupted. And the reason why the corrupted Boyfriend is there, is because the corruption somehow knows that if Boyfriend loses a rap battle, he gets corrupted. So the corruption must've calibrated or transformed into the original body of Boyfriend, so that therefore, Boyfriend can lose the rap battle. And that explains why Boyfriend is fighting the corrupted Boyfriend.

Time to attempt lore.
In this universe, the corruption corrupts all the character but puts them as fake images which make the bf we play battle them, which ks why he has a gun.
The power here has bf at his max potential of his current form which is us, the player, which is attempting to find the source of the corruption like the one lemon demon did, once he does he will battle it which mainly is why all the characters have either death arrows or attacks they launch at us.
The words or when the background turns dark is when the characters are fighting back but their efforts make the corrupted version stronger which is why the difficulty spikes.
If you notice, at around the 10 minute zone, the songs have a background with the sign of "you cant run" meaning either sonic.exe is helping, or that is a reference to the sonic.exe mod. There is also ohpebob, bob, angry bob, and other mod characters which soons says who has been affected or targetted next. Also on the board, the character looks like gf being corrupted or amor after falling of his chair and being corrupted.
How can Bob from the Bob Mod get Currupted? He Is an Literal A.I. Who has the Power to Do Anything.
And Yeah your Ideas Aren't to Farfetched because well... In the Next update we will get the Shaggy Songs, an All powerfull Shaggy btw with 9 Key Songs. And No The Sign is just a Reference to the Mod like Every other thing in the Chalkboard also The You Can't Run Sign is their Since the Beginning of the first song in The Fin and Jake Week. And We also have A Cover of You Can't Run sang by Fin and Jake
