    One of my favorite things about the Cirrus is the interior colors without the gawdy look of patterns and overhang above the windows. Very simple, sleek look. The down side, it seems, would be the lighting. Can they be dimmed for a warmer look?

    truck campers are the best for forest campgrounds. if anybody’s ever tried backing in a 20 foot trailer into a small campsite then you’ll understand. these campers you just back in and set it up. i’ve watched guys take an entire day to set up their 20-25 footers. waste of valuable vacation time if you ask me.

    Most other manufacturers need to take cues from the aesthetics, the windows & the heating system offered by nuCamp. However, this one is still too heavy (especially for a shortbed), the exterior storage drs need to be lockable & there should be interior access to the inverter/batteries compartment for when the camper is on the truck. Thanks for the video.

    Honestly, the best thing truck camper manufacturers could do is to build campers designed for full-time living.
    Which means lithium batteries (4 minimum) that can be charged off of the truck's alternator.
    The maximum amount of solar panels they can fit on the roof.
    A high powered inverter/converter.
    Possibly eliminating the need for propane and/or maybe even making everything powered by 12 volt. (including the AC unit)
    A cassette or composting toilet.
    Cell/Internet/WI-fi equipment.
    A security/surveillance system to protect it all.
    And build their campers so they're watertight without the need for goop (yes... I called it goop) being applied once or twice a year along the exterior seams.
    With more and more people being forced to live out of their cars, vans, and RV's, a truck camper with all of these options would make for a great home alternative!
    Just a thought, NuCamp/Cirrus. Think about it. :)

    • @fishernate
      @fishernate Před 4 lety

      Yes! I don’t understand why black tanks are still a thing. If anyone can use a cassette toilet yet only a small portion of the population has access to a black tank dump, then a cassette toilet should be the rule not the exception. These manufacturers don’t understand how big of a market they’re cutting out. People who don’t like cassette toilet simply don’t like them but people who don’t like dump tanks literally cannot use them because they don’t have an option to.

    • @draykeblack
      @draykeblack Před 4 lety +3

      @@fishernate I don't feel like that's fair. Anyone who parks in most semi-permanent campgrounds or K01 camps needs a "black tank" set up because why would you want to mess with dumping your toilet when you could just run a hose to the sewers? You basically pay the campgrounds for that feature so why should they have to be forced to do extra work and put up with an annoyance they're paying to avoid?
      I think its great when manufacturers offer both as an option so that you can pick the one that suits your use case best.

    Nice camper. Deciding between this and Lance. A couple things I didn't like were the lack of leg and foot space under the table. That box takes up at least half the space under the table and allows (barely) only one person on each side. Especially if you are large, I'm 6'4". We sometimes take our grandchild and there would be no room for three of us to sit together, eat, play cards, etc. Poor design. Also, I would have designed the back handle to fold and lock toward the driver side away from the back door. In theory, some prankster could lock the handle and end up locking everyone inside the camper. I also agree with others that a cassette toilet would be nice.

    • @PrincessCraft
      @PrincessCraft  Před 3 lety

      Yes, the wifi has a shut-off switch. The 12volt electrical system also has a shut-off switch. If you don't want the 110volt power... unplug. The total height of the camper on the truck will depend on the height of the truck and how much it "squats" with the camper loaded. I estimate somewhere in the 13' range... but take that with a grain of salt as every setup can vary greatly from others.

      😞
      Why have these things been removed!
      Will the 920 be offered again? It's so sad when you have a great floorplan then remove all the good stuff in the new models.

    These are WAAAY overpriced in my opinion. For those that want to spend the money for something compact, thats fine. But, why when you can get a travel trailer that is MUCH nicer and MUCH bigger for less
