Rangers of the North were in AIME core book. They were just called Dúnedain instead.
Very useful and informed overview. Many thanks, this helped me decide to get this version.
Great job of discussing the differences from AiME. I have all those PDFs and this helped me decide if this is a buy as well!
Great video! I was looking for this exactly. I have all of the AIME books and will just keep using those instead of venturing into this new book.
One Book to rule them all!
To me, it seems best to take the good changes from this new product and apply them to AIME. One big problem is that it will take many years before they publish the sequel books for the different regions and adventures (notwithstanding the monetary commitment). I will say the art from AIME is much better than what is in the new product.
Does anyone know if there`ll be a "Strider" solo mode for this book, like we have with TOR 2E?
Thanks for this video! I bought The One Ring 2nd edition a few months ago but do enjoy the 5E rule set. Would you say this edition is worth getting for those who already own TOR?
Sub #600 Here! Will give your channel a go. Really liked your VTT evaluations and reviews. Looking forward to whatever you do next. o7.
Sorry, but you did get a couple of things wrong. Cubicle 7's TOR was set primarily in WIlderland, not Eriador (although later supplements did support parts of that region). Eriador is the default setting for the new edition. And Free League does not consider The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying to be a second edition of AIME, rather they rebuilt the 5E game from the ground up.
Aside from the rule changes and conversion to 5e, does this new version contain all of the same interior artwork from the One Ring book, just in a slightly different layout?
Yes, this is much more of a direct conversion from The One Ring replacing TOR mechanics for 5e ones but using same layout and art where possible.
@@dragonsarerealpodcast So does "Where possible" mean there is artwork omitted in this version?
@@rjw7465 Alot of the artwork is there but I can't say if it is ALL there as the art has been move all over the place
@@dragonsarerealpodcast Okay right on, thank you!
When this come out?
Hardback released in May I believe.
is combat the
same as the one ring?
No it uses the 5e system not the One Ring System
No book worth 80 dollars. I don't know what they are smoking.
It literally doesn't cost that, what are you smoking.
