G'day Luke, I used meat strip's marinated in oyster sauce in the Georges river...best bait on the big bream ,especially at night.
PS just discovered your channel...very enjoyable, looking forward to the next one.

Have used chicken thigh fillets for years.
    Gotta marinate it first.
1:Chicken thighs cut into strips (cut at an angle so it appears to have a bit of a tail movement).
2:Put into a large container with a lid.
3:Put a heap of minced garlic, soy sauce and Parmesan Cheese (secret ingredient 👍).
4:Mix it all together thoroughly, put the lid on and sit it in the fridge for 1 or preferably,2 nights.
5:Stink Bait complete 👌Take it out for bait, put on your hook and hang on!! 👍👌
I have never not caught fish on this recipe,an old fella showed me it about 20 years ago and it works a treat.
Love your channel Luke as I also call Brisbane Waters home 👍
Would love to come out for a fish with you and hopefully catch you out on the water (when it is warmer 😂) 👍👌🎣

Good amusing video, reminds me about one time we went snapper fishing and took some cold kfc and threw the bones and bits into the water, ended up caching a couple of decent snapper. when we cleaned them they were full of our kfc leftovers. maybe try junk food next😁

We have fished chicken versus pilchards lots of times at night. Chicken thigh is tougher than chicken breast and a better bait as a result. Chicken goes a lot further if cut into thin strips the size of your little finger. gets just as many bites as a bigger bait. Most nights pilchards will get more fish than the chicken but 1 night in 5 chicken does better. Pilchards definitely better for big flathead BUT you have to throw them back anyway due to slot limits. That brings chicken back into the picture. We never fish bigger than 00 ball sinker. Bread burley - if you use your Potatoe masher you go you can quickly get the air out of it once wet through and have 90% of it sink rather than 10%. Yes, a ladle helps the hands in a cold wet winter day.

@@huntersfishingadventures5324 I fish the lake in a kayak around Booragul, Speers Point. I use salted chicken breast with garlic salt & table salt. I rarely use any other bait. I have caught Trevally, Flounder, Tailor, Bream, Flathead, Whiting and Squire using chicken breast. My largest Flathead was 66cm & the largest Bream 38cm. I will use salted Pilchards & prawns as alternative baits in the future. I have tried USA Fishbites recently & they performed very well catching 1 of 3 Bream I caught in my last session.

Love these experiments , along time ago on the big wharf at north entrance , I was fishing next to a young guy that was using skirt steak for bait , I watched in amazement as he hooked & landed 4 flathead between 65 & 80cm , he hooked them & would then proceed to fight the fish by walking along the wharf & beach them at the end , giving me time to cast my live poddy mullet in close proximity to where he was fishing , although he did protest if someone cast in “his “ spot , I caught nothing & thought I would surely catch fish as I believed I had the “ superior bait “ . It just goes to show , you never stop learning in this game , I was gobsmacked & remember it like it was yesterday . Keep up the good work , maybe some of that yankee artificial bait next ? it’s a bit pricey , apparently , but maybe cheaper than the monthly meat shop used here 😉👍

In the history of fishing, people don't use those meats for bait and even if you wanted to experiment, that is a waste of meat for this purpose.
That could feed a family for a month. It's not about the fishing experiment, it's about the waste. Even if it were spoilt food, match the hatch or use what artificial baits are available.
