The common example I hear in Psychology class is: if someone gets cuts in front of you while driving, you assume their just a jerk or a an idiot, but if you do it to someone else, you think about your external situation like how you’re late for work or how your loved one has been hospitalized.
Great example, perspective changes everything
We judge other people based on their action but we judge ourselves by our intentions
actor-observer bias?
The low and high of consistency are supposed to be the inverse of consensus and distinctiveness with regard to internal vs external attribution. It isn't low, low, low that indicates internal attribution, but rather low, low, high.
yeah I noticed he made an error
Thank you! I was like, that doesn't make any sense.
I enjoyed the video. Educational! there's an error though: you said when all three low- it's the personality. and all three high it's external events. That's incorrect. When consensus and distinctiveness are low but consistency high- then it's attributed to internal factors. And when consensus and distinctiveness are high but consistency is low- then it's attributed to external factors.
was just thinking this, thanks for pointing it out!

Wanna say thank you very much. Needed this. Our textbook is not great at explaining things. Plus I learn more visually, thanks so much! Your drawings really helped me.

I realized how I always caught myself thinking of my intentions whenever I do something out of the ordinary, but when I change my perspective to that of the people observing me, I knew I would’ve thought something completely different. Glad to understand more of this thought process in this video. Thanks for uploading!
This is GREAT ! No rubbish background music just very good content well present Bravo : )
I love the way this channel, PRACTICAL PSYCHOLOGY explains the material; AND, I love the material ❗
So close to 2 mill subs dude, you’re smashing it 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
I would like to add on a suggestion. Your presentation, the way things are drawn are pretty well. It overshadows what is being said. It grabs the attention of the listener and becomes the focus, whereas what you are saying is meant to he understood
If consistency is high, isn't it an internal attribution?
Interesting information. Thank you for sharing
Your videos are very helpful
Thank you so.much now i understand attribution ❤
At 5:05 , why would low consistency make me conclude that "That is just who they are"? I feel like if a person behaves consistently, then you would say that is who they are
Yes, i noticed that too. In consistency only the attribution should be different than the other too. I think it should be named as inconsistency factor, then it will be same in all three.
Which I could give the video more than one like. Thank you
Thanks for ur explanation
You deserve more views..
This's the best method.
Awesome content as always. Keep making these highly educational videos. In fact I have a similar video in my channel, what a coincidence 😉.
I think the high and low consistency explanations were swapped, but otherwise great video!
Yes!
Thank you very much!
Good one !
谢谢分享!
Think you could go into more detail on misattribution in another video?
is situational the same as disounting?????
what is the major attributes transmitted among the youth through social media?
wait, so if the friends doesn't order an expensive wine frequently its personality? Not the sutuation? If it was the personality, would't he always do it? Still, great vid! :)
Agreed.. I think they may have fumbled the details a bit..
I have a small doubt that distinctiveness and consistency look somewhat similar. Can anyone explain to me the difference in brief
Consistency would be same action in same environment and distinctiveness would relate to the specific characteristic that is shown - in this case enjoys the finer things in life - does the person showcase that characteristic in different environments?
I think this is the difference but I'm not sure I am currently learning
Off topic... i miss the nice background music u used to use. The one you used in the self love videos.
Thanks for this amazing explanation, I would ask about Rubicon model and theory of planned behavior, I need explanation about theme because I found hardly to understand
Yes
I miss that background guitar music
Can someone please explain the distinctiveness more to me?
This technique of hand and drawing .... How can one make videos using this animation style?
