i love how soothing your videos always are, sometimes it's almost shockingly slow-paced and unhurried (which is a big part of asmr in general, but it's stark because of how fast our world is today! even something like swiping a credit card takes a few seconds where as everything was so complex and deliberate while the tech was developing.) it's a very interesting perspective but also a calming one! it's nice to sort of *have* to take a step back, be patient, and just enjoy the wonderful customer service (and the asmr :D ) thank you as always!

I grew up in Baltimore and remember the big glossy downtown department stores with ladies behind the counters in their departments in the 1960s when i was a young girl. We used the term “pocket book” but I have also heard purse and handbag. These must be geographical terms because I live in Montana now, and nobody knows what a pocketbook is.😂
We said pocketbook too-and purse. Can’t remember what I said in this video. 😂😂

Amazing video! So relaxing! My mother was killed in a car accident in 1965 when I was 4 years old so I have very few and hazy memories of her but I was given her wallet (with contents) that she had with her at the time of the accident-a Lady Buxton, silver color leather, smaller than the white one in the video. That brand name always makes me think of her.

Yes, it was!! When I was growing up, one of the local downtown department stores used an pneumatic system to get charge card approvals quickly among other things. My brother and I thought it was the coolest thing.
