Pisses me off too!! The people of the UK and the Commonwealth are funding this coronation. It is for the people and by the people (or should I say peasants?) and the people are 98% (according to recent polls) not in favour of the Monticeto traitors attending this state event. Wake up Charles. Henry is lost until he reaches rock bottom and humbly admits he needs help.

Agreed. I hate the way Harry has sequestered Diana’s memory for himself-“he [William] know longer looks like my mother,” “I am my mother’s son because I follow my heart,” et cetera. (Not direct quotes, just sentiments he has expressed.) As if William doesn’t love and miss her, too. If anything, I think Harry loves the combined fantasy of media glamor and a little boy’s memories; William took the time to learn about all of her flaws and struggles, and he loves her for the human being she is. It’s incredibly shallow and selfish for Harry to turn his back on their shared bond with their mum and each other in favor of profiting off of the public worship of Princess Diana.

First, the Coronation is a State affair!
Second, I kicked my own son out of my house at the age of 15 for absolutely unacceptable behavior! I did keep an eye on him without his knowledge, and did allow him to go hungry, without housing, and struggle. He initiated contact after 2 1/2 years, sincerely apologized for his actions, and thanked me for loving him enough to tell him no! He's in his mid-40's now and we continue to have an excellent relationship. He finished school, joined the Army, got married, has children of his own, owns his own home, and is a top tier businessman. Every once in awhile he brings up those years on the streets with me with the purpose of remembering and thanking me because not tolerating his behavior forced him to choose a path...the one he was on or a different one. He chose a different path and I'm proud of him as he should be of himself!
If I was H's parent, he would NOT be invited anywhere I was going to be without seeing a change in actions, deeds, and words. H is an adult and well beyond the age to take responsibility for himself and stop blaming his dad, his mom for dying, his brother, and anyone else! Grow the he#l up and be a man! Mom here. Also had a sister who used this exact type of behavior over and over on her... And all of us.
She was abusive to everyone. My mom kept forgiving her, inviting her to Thanksgiving, etc, (after we were grown.) She kept trying to reconcile me to her, guilting me so that she had access to do it all again.
Long story. But one day I said enough and walked away from it all. I wouldn't be part of anything she was part of. My life got peaceful. My children had been her target too. As soon as they were born, their faults were pointed out on the regular and she would always expect to be put first ahead of them. None of this was ok, and we should not have put up with it as long as we did, in the name of 'you should always forgive your child/sister etc. Forgiveness and trust are 2 separate things. Protecting yourself and your family from exploitation are your right and your obligation.
My mother should have stopped it long before she did. After I left, she kept taking it until my sister had bankrupted her, taken her home, let her live in one corner of a room she used for storage, and she wasn't allowed to talk to her children nor talk to me on the phone as I had made myself her 'arch nemesis' by ending it with her.
My mom would call and whisper to me.
These people will take you down until they destroy you. They can't stop at anything less. Their narcissism etc won't let them stop.
    Nobody owes that to anybody.
Like you said, a mistake is fine to forgive.

William might have, with the protective love an older sibling feel, wanted to protect his brother. Are they saying that Charles will be fine with it if Harry only attacked William and his wife as long as it's not Camilla? One thing I learned from The Crown on Netflix that I believe to be true: “the crown must win. The crown must always win.” Many people have been worried that Charles would be a weak king which is why so many people wanted the crown to skip Charles and go to William. If Charles reconciles with Harry it will obliterate his reign. It will signal that not only is he weak, but that he will put his wayward son over the crown, the monarchy, his duty, his oath, the country, the people in the country and risk his eldest son’s inheritance. I think it would trigger a constitutional crisis as so many Englanders would demand his immediate abdication. Which is probably Meghan’s plan. One by one they fall and she moves closer to the throne. Leave it to an American to play the game of thrones better than the royal family…if they reconcile.

Harry’s wife is already distancing herself from the book release, she had one of her press contacts say she had concerns about some of its content, hence her disappearing act. She’s let him take the fall!
Harry is being ridiculed, he’s damaged goods and she’ll likely start the discarding process now.

Great logical arguments reflecting what everyone is thinking. You're right - the rule was formally changed a few months ago so the Dukes won't be swearing allegiance - only William will. William is not as easily swayed and he's apparently in charge of organizing this- hopefully Charles will learn the difference between forgiving and enabling and realize that forgiveness is the release of resentment or anger - forgiveness doesn't mean reconciliation.

  • @bandgeekforlife406
    @bandgeekforlife406 Před rokem +9

Having dealt with a sociopath in a bullying situation, I can say that at the very least for him, forgiveness didn't actually matter to him, even if he asked for it. "I forgive you" are just words to most people, after all. What he wanted was *acceptance.* I forgave him, because it's a part of my world view, and because I think a lack of forgiveness ultimately ends up hurting the person who won't forgive. It rots and festers in your heart. No one who has been victimized should be further victimized by the poison of bitterness, as difficult as it can be to forgive.
But that's another topic. The point is that I forgave the dude who had severely bullied me, but I wouldn't be friends with him (note: not being friends is VERY different from being antagonistic- I wasn't his friend, but I wasn't an antagonist either). I knew who he was and that he wasn't changing any time soon. For as long as he still thought he had a chance to make me friends with him after I forgave him, he was on his best behavior. But as soon as he realized that while I was kind and polite to him, I was also on my guard and didn't trust him, he dropped the facade and went right back to the behavior that had required forgiving in the first place. I was still kind and polite (between you and me, that made him even more mad, because I walked the line between kindness and doormat-ness very well, and he couldn't walk all over me).
In conclusion, I don't fault the royals for their forgiveness, or even for trying to be kind to H+M. The mistake lies in accepting them back into the fold, in any way shape or form, without a sure sign of real, lasting change. Inviting them to the coronation will be seen as acceptance back into the fold.

People seem to be forgetting that these two also made grave accusations against the British people themselves, calling an entire nation out for racism. Charles, as king, represents his people, he will swear a solemn vow to serve them/us (I am a Brit btw). To invite H&M to the Coronation will be a massive slap-in-the-face to the people. Several here have said that Charles will appear weak. Charles already is thought of as weak, always has been, hence the difficult relationship with his father. The tough one is Anne. For many years, people wished she were the heir. It's a shame that Meghan for all her research never picked up the media treatment of Anne for years, it was brutal, but she weathered it and worked tirelessly but without fanfare to win the respect she now enjoys. Camilla has done likewise. On current evidence, Harry and Meghan are too flaky to even contemplate the amount of effort and patience such "rehabilitation" requires. Harry has also shown himself to be a very unpleasnat person, I think many of us are wondering why we liked him so much for so long, he was/is unworthy if such affection, Anyway, that seems gone for good.
