This highlights the 1995-96 Kentucky basketball regular and post season leading up to the program's 6th NCAA Championship. The team included 9 future NBA players. Tony Delk, Walter McCarty, Mark Pope, Antoine Walker, Derek Anderson, Ron Mercer, Anthony Epps, Jeff Sheppard, Wayne Turner, Allen Edwards, Nazr Mohammed, Cameron Mills, Jared Prickett, Oliver Simmons, Jason Lathrem.
The greatest college basketball team ever.. isn't even close.
One of my favorite Wildcat Teams! Great run 94 - 98!
THE greatest team in the history of men's college basketball!! Beat every team they played. (lost 2 games but played 'umass' and 'miss st' twice, and both made final 4) the juniors and under classmen lost in OT the next yr (w best player out with an injury) and then UK won AGAIN in 98 w these underclassmen. almost 2/3rds of this team went pro. 25 point average margin of victory. no jabaar or walton to dominate for 4 years at a time. Just the greatest TEAM ever!!! GO BIG BLUE...C-A-T-S CATS CATS CATS!!
good deets man. I agree possibly my favorite team too. let's hope tubby at least thanked Rick for the championship he walked into

Did not even need or want another NBAer in Rodrick Rhodes after he left early and tried to come back. Easily the best “team” in NCAA history. Dominant.
90 UNLV Rebels
@@kirbyaugustine761 the 1990 rebels were great but this team was better imo. Too much length, skill and athleticism.
You can have the Fab 5, 1990 UNLV, or any of Wooden's UCLA dynasty teams. I'll take the Untouchables every time.
Best college team EVER
Every position is deep deep!! This team was nice!!
This team was filled with future NBA players, even at the end of the bench. But the one thing I remember is how unselfish they all were. Super fun to watch.
This Era of BBN basketball will never be topped!!!
I remember I wanted UMass and Marcus Camby to beat Kentucky I also wouldn't of mind both of them meeting in the 1996 national championship game.Kentucky was to stacked for every college basketball team that year.I gotta give e credit where credit is due. They were a awesome and unstoppable team in 1996.
1:10 I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American. I did NOT know, that Mark Pope could dunk!
Best Basketball team ever assembled and it's not even close. In '97 guys from that team and recruits, after DA messes up his knee in the SEC final, go on to the NCAA final and lose in OT. Ronnie Mercer... Kid put the team on his back in that tourney. ESPECIALLY in that final four game against Minnesota. And then '98... #7thbanner
The UMass team they beat was also fantastic but Kentucky was in a class of their own. Best college team of all time.
@@harolddelaney9323 Absolutely. Remember UMASS was #1 and they beat us at the start of the season. Fun Fact: I almost fought Camby two summers prior. Lou Rowe broke it up. Cuz I thought he was gonna break my face,
@@destiny66
You are lucky Lou Roe didn’t jump in. He was a beast. I am actually a UMass fan but totally agree that Kentucky team was untouchable.
@@harolddelaney9323 hahaha man you don't even know. First of all I was 6'1 and I came up to Camby's Chest. I figured I was gonna punch his knees out... And then it was like the Street light went out behind me. Like a solar eclipse and I turn around, and at the time, it was easily the biggest dude I've ever met. So there's that, I figure out it's Lou Rowe so I'm kinda starstruck, and then immediately realize if I fight Camby I'm getting the shit kicked out of me by #15. Funny thing is Camby started the whole thing. Dude was a prick.
@@destiny66 haha that’s a great story. Lou roe is one of the few basketball players that makes football players look like a bunch of pansies. You probably could have taken camby on your own since he was a skinny bastard but you would have needed a small posse to take lou.
One of my alltime favorite college teams..Great vid
Wow, sometimes you forget how GREAT they were!!! GO CATS

Man Jeff Shepard could jump out the gym back then! That was also the only time Ricky P was able to beat Calipari in a matchup as well! Great great great team! However this years team has a shot at history! Great time to be a U K fan... So excited!!!

He was a great one footed leaper and always seemed to do a half two handed tomahawk on every dunk he ever did lol
Best team to ever hit the court
1:27 I did NOT know, that Jeff Sheppard could dunk! (Sheppard's Pie)
Another way of saying “I never watched Jeff Sheppard play basketball”
@@nunyabidness181 I was a stiff, who didn't have cable TV until I was 18. But, seeing Jeff Sheppard (Sheppard's Pie! Haha!!) dunk, what next? Is somebody going to tell me that Tony Delk and Kyle Macy and Kevin Grevey could dunk?
They were the perfect storm.
Best wildcat team of all time!!!!! Plz use different music or no music with just the commentators next. Music is awful 😖
My 2nd favorite college team behind the 90’s UNLV Runnung Rebel’s.
This team was loaded

#BBN BABY
Who would win? This '96 team or the Towns Booker 2014-15 team
I'd have to say the 96 team. Just by how well rounded they were on both sides of the ball, not to mention how insanely deep they were as well.
That is how you build a championship team, not this one and done BS.

The game has changed. We have to change with it.
the players want money and that's the reason of college. It's not to make you happy it's to get people paid and time for fans to accept that
Anyone remember the name of the theme song for this season?

Squad was 10 fuccin deep
More like 13-14 deep. Nazr Mohammed was on the bench the whole year.
34-2 16-0 in SEC
👏🏾
