I would like another video of the Mercedes Benz EQE SUV to be made in Germany at Autoban
with the small screen I think they should remove the heads-up displays because it reduces some 1500 in price.
European EV manufactures can't compete with this . Luxury for the price is unmatched . Compare this with the spartan ID.3 , it's totally different ball game.
In China the performance version is equivalent to 23.000 euro. They are so over priced in Europe
Agreed
They use slave labour.
Lol western countries only believe in the Free market when it suits them
You need to see the 4 seats version with automatic doors. It has more features like Zero-Gravity Recliner mode for Passenger seat. And the center console is a exchangeable module inclusive fridge.
Yup the 2 rear seat bases raise to flush with the seat backs for pet transport. So cool. Don't need to get seats dirty
The design has a certain ineffable magnetism to it. I can't take my eyes off the car, and the more I look, the more I like it.
We also have many excellent electric vehicle brands in China, such as BYD, LEAPMOTOR, NIO, Zhiji, and avatar. We welcome friends from all over the world who love electric vehicles to learn about them and wish everyone the opportunity to buy their favorite electric vehicles
@@user-kp8ei5xj6gChinese vehicles are fantastic. Hope to visit China some day. Regards from South Africa. :-)
the design is too much fuzzy... prefer the clean design of Volvo. for me
Oh my gosh...!
Whilst I'm not a fan of oversized, resource-wasteful SUVs, even I'd not turn this one down...!
WOW - what a fantastic-looking design and the technology is next-level...
Great 'exclusive' walk-around, Thomas - always love your no-BS presentation style...! 😎
Cheers m8!
@@autogefuehl all due respect you didn't even cover half of the unique features this car has
@@Fldllsewhich are?
@@pwelele it seems like some of these features are removed in the EU version, which means the zeekr team prob thinks that the europeans just don't really care about features in a car other than just driving it, but here are just a few things i can remember: 1. the screen has a motored rail and be move to the side to the passenger seat by a swipe gesture, while having navigation and projected display on the driver's view to avoid distractions. 2. The back seats can be completed folded up to open up space for your pets instead of having then on the seats. 3. They provide a refrigerator option at the back so cool drinks are available. 4. Color changing, brightness adjustable top light at front 5. Fully flat car windows with rubber hiding inside the window gap instead of being exposed so it won't get your sleeve dirty 6. The front armrest is motorized and can be moved to the back so more space, plus switching seats is much easier 7. Fully massage passenger seat just like NIO.... And many more I can't remember. This car is aiming at young single middle class and a lot of the designs choices lies in details. People who just want a EV that can drive well and nothing else are not the target audience of this car.
@@FldllseDoes the European version get the same features as the Chinese version? Thomas pointed out some that aren’t available.
I am really impressed by ZEEKR. Come ON European brands, hurry up, Chines EV are coming, and are better than yours.....
Can't wait for the driving test !! 😍
The first two European countries that will get Zeekr are Sweden and the Netherlands.
They always get the good stuff first. Come to Australia please!
@@vilester Zeekr needs to produce RHD vehicles, so that it can enter Ozzyland.
Not a chance coming to UK😢
@@TheLastEmail Zeekr has not ruled out a UK introduction, so we can still live in hope.
I would consider this over the ex30 if they came to the UK
Looks much nicer inside than the EX30. Very Impressive
at higher price point so yes
@@BlackPawGaming yes but only by about £2k
Looks miles better with better tech than the EX30..final price confirmation for UK will be interesting.
Another sister car to this Zeekr X and the Ex30 is the Smart #1. All were built on top of the Geely SEA platform.
The Smart #1 appears to be better packaged for 4 adults compared to the Volvo
They also use Geely New Energy electric technology
And the new Smart #3, which is more of a swoopy sedan looking thing rather than a crossover.
Thats what Thomas said in the video….lol.
The boot in smat#1 is far too small. We cannot use the smart#1 for travelling. It is a pity.
The color scheme with that gold/bronze detail is gorgeous. I almost want it just for that. Unless they cut some major corners beneath the surface, I can’t see how all those premium details will be profitable for the company.
I absolutely love this car and wish we’d get it in the U.S. I think it’s even better than the EX30. Although I really want the Cross Country trim, I hate the lack of driver’s screen/HUD and glass roof (give me a sunroof I can open!). The Zeekr give me more of what I expect, along with beefy styling, even without an off-road trim. The standard EX30 looks more wimpy, compared to this. This Zeekr seems like a home run, whereas the EX is maybe a triple…
Thanks for another great review! I’ve enjoyed watching your thorough, informative reviews for a few years, now.
Thanks! Great you re with us for so long :-) !
looking forward to seeing you drive these in house siblings together so the dynamic differences can also be assessed.
Zeekr 001 driving review coming up!
@@autogefuehl A different league though.
This looks like a cracking car, nice touches and decent, solid package
I quite like it! The interior is a bit of a miss for me. I think the Volvo's looks a bit more stylish and classier. I also love how Volvo lights the cabin over Zeekr in this case. But I really like the modular look of the exterior. I'd consider it if it came to the US!
Volvo looks better outside, this one looks better inside.
@@antti8299 agree to disagree. I think the Volvo looks better both inside and out. But I really like the exterior of this it’s a close second.
@@wand3rlu5t I agree. I think this almost looks Polestarish but Polestar is still cleaner overall (exterior). Interior is nice, but a bit too cutesy in the UI and not understated like Volvo/Polestar. Still, it's nice and attractive.
Volvo and ZEEKR both belong to China's Geely. The two cars were developed on the same platform.
@@ChinaStats By different teams of designers and engineers from two different brands. Lamborghini Urus and VW Taureg and Porsche Cayenne and Bentley Bentayga are also on the same platform. But their not all the same car made by VW and that's maybe even more true of the Geely owned brands than the VW owned ones.
This cost 28000 USD in China, I am planning to order one! Excellent Car for the coming modern era!
Zeekr is definitely a really good chinese car brand in today's ev industry. Hope Zeekr 001 will come to North America and Europe.
Zeekr 001 is beasty!
Honestly the Chinese carmakers are making some amazing stuff. Their cars have such great build quality and materials. The Chery Tiggo 8 7 seat small SUV has better interior material and build quality than the Mercedes GLB which is more than double the price.
Yes, it is better. Hopefully this comes to the UK soon and is priced competitively.
Isn't this rather a smart #1 then volvo ex30 segment competitor? As the smarts are already both out in people's driveways.
All are also being built on this same geely fully open sourced sea ev platform. With similar packs&motors between them.
This zeekr 01 having started deliveries in mid June in China. The ex30 though is month's away still at a minimum. 👍🏻
This looks a great contender, I wonder if Zeekr will ever come to South Africa :P thanks for always doing these first looks, Thomas, you're a paragon of car reviewers :)
If possible, with your first impressions, if you could mention of the car has V2L capability, that would be most helpful.
May the force be with you ;) hope you've tried Andor recently... Only stellar star wars to come out of Disney since Rogue One :P
Thanks 🙏 yeah ofc i did!
I enjoyed watching the Video Review. Will hopefully Launch In the UK as well 😊
the design in and out is just amazing
At first I found its face too busy (compared to the Volvo), but it quickly grows on me. Looks like a great car.
Except the blue interior and C-pilar color gimmick, and the door handles which will make the paint suffer with rings.
2:34 That rear fender is insane - look how many part lines it has!
It is incredibly ugly too. Is a low trim feature I wonder? All the the Chinese show cars which were the high trim 4 seat models, that entire panel is motorized and serves as the charge door, so it looks super clean. So clean you don't even realize it is the charge port cover. But this version with a cutout for a manual charge door inside the panel looks really bad.
One thing the Chinese brands aren't good with is a brand identity. They always have a million different brands and sub-brands.
That's because there are different customer segments for them. I say western brands do not provide enough diversity🤪
This is actually Link, independent
I don't want to drive a Zika virus car! 😂🙈
@@abraxastulammo9940 No one is forcing you to by a Fort Detrick car.
It's not important the "brand identity" of Chinese cars, anyway they are crap
Did i get it right? A COMPACT Car below 50k € is now a now brainer? Well ... even a Mercedes A Class in its best times didnt cost that much if im not wrong. Yeah its an E Car ... which decreases now massivly in prices ... but that doesnt make it right to call a car in the 45k league reachable for many people, even with that level of quality, which has also to be proven by using it in kind of infortainment, assistent, service and repairs.
The facelifted A-class hybrid cost 55000 € now, its crazy. I can get a full EV for the same money. My petrol A-class cost 40 000 €.
to compare with same E car in Chinese market price, that will make you crazy. for this one start from around 24.3K Euro, BMW IX now drive away price start from around 64K Euro, EQE Saloon start from less than 51K Euro, crazy price war🤣
Thanks, Thomas, brilliant review. The only questions left unanswered are - when will it come to Germany and under what price?
Thanks 🙏 Germany will follow soon after netherlands and sweden and prices probably like in netherlands

NIO ET5 Touring version
@@BryanLeung-sn7co e-308 sw mg5
that"d be the zeekr 001 which is imo by far the best ev wagon. going to EU together with this car here too
looks amazing. build quality as well.
It’s a stunning car.The real world range would be off putting for me.I,d want a bigger battery.
Here they also have 100 and 140kwh batteries with 630 and 830km range
I see the real city test. The 140KWH version can run 900+KM.
Actually, i thk setting up starting sound is pretty cool idea. Almost every ev cars that recently made just have too silent alert to notice whether its ready to go or not.
It is very gratifying that this manufacturer understands the importance of home charging. and invests 22KW converters. This is the reason for the vehicle's victory over its competitors in addition to the vehicle's qualities and performance
I like all three extrerior designs (Smart, Volvo and Zeekr), but in the interior the Smart is too playful and round, the Volvo materials seem to cheap, so the Zeekr wins for me.
I saw another review from China, on which they show, the left rear panel opens completely - here they integrated an ordinary charge port lid. Maybe it's due to safety regulations here in Europe. Unfortunately the sliding screen is also not allow in Europe.
Thanks 🙏 what rear panel?
@@autogefuehl Some Russian guys in China showd it: czcams.com/video/74Qp48HWyQE/video.html
If Volvo would add a front screen or HUD, I think it’s one of the coolest interiors so far. I love the simplicity
Nice exterior Design, the interior looks very luxury, i like a lot the colors combination, the logo is very similar to Sennheiser
Thank you for an informative in-depth review - compared to the majority of others, your review is actually the best
Highly appreciated! Please recommend our channel 😎
Beautiful. I'll definitely give serious consideration if they come to Malta 🇲🇹
The screens (and esp given landscape mode vs portrait) are much better on the zeekr.
The brand Zeekr is really nice ev car.Special design,Good mechanical quality,Comfortable and Exquisite interior, and Software is easy to use which combined in one vehicle.
Looks really nice!
is it April 1st?
Been waiting for this to come to Europe! But what a shame they took so many things off even the charging port mechanism and the price under 50k euros would be too much. Considering the top spec is selling in china is 32k euros.
It would make much sense if top spec is 40k euro
yeah, 50k for such a small car would not be a smart move 😅
👍👍👍
66KWH CLTC-560KM version has 2 price. Five seats one motor cost 189800RMB almost 24K euros. And 4 seats two motor version cost 209800RMB almost 26.5K euros. I am not sure about the price of 100KWH and 140KWH version. These price are inside china. But you know there are shipping fee and tariff fee. Top version must be under 40K euros inside china.
@@junguo3088 The dealer network raises the prices of vehicles very much, and the manufacturer has a problem with the price of vehicles on the market, because their margins are large. These are new manufacturers' brands and they need to have a very favorable price on the European market, because Europeans are very skeptical of unknown brands and Chinese manufacturers. I hope that the sale of vehicles is like that of Tesla, and not through the dealer's network in Europe, and thus to be better positioned in terms of price, considering that, as a Chinese brand, it has to break through on the European market

Do you have opportunity to test some latest Geely models? This brand grown up nicely.
Yes. 001 review coming up!
@@autogefuehl awesome!
This is not a Geely model. It's a brand in the Geely group. Zeekr is a brand like Audi or Porsche is a brand in the VW Group. Geely, like VW, has a brand, Geely Auto, and a Group, ZGH, Geely Holding. Geely Holding owns various brands, not Geely Auto. Geely Holdings owns Geely Auto and Lotus and Zeekr and Volvo, etc.
Excellent video sir
🙏🙏
Really excited to see it live 😎 In several areas it seems to be a step above Volvo's EX30. Same, but different 😂 In a good way actually
Is there a Regulations that in Europe the Screen is not allowed to move to the Passenger side? i mean that was 1 of the Selling points of the Zeeker X in China.
this is the first car with moving screen, i guess there is no regulation for this
This car only starts at 189,000 RMB = 23,969.32 euros in the Chinese market. Why can't they keep the same price in Europe and future US markets? That will be a total game-changer. Same as NIO's situation
Well NIOs are kind of expensive in China as well, but yes the Zeekr X, Zeekr 001, and the new Xpeng G6 are stupid cheap in the Chinese market. But between transport, tariffs, VAT, and the cost of setting up dealer/service networks in the west all will add to the cost of these Chinese cars. Perhaps that's why MG is the cheapest exported Chinese EV, because at least MG already has an existing sales/service network in Europe.
if you are in the us, ask trump
Because they simply want to earn as much money as possible?
See Tesla.
Every EV in china is about half the price compare to europe… so we can forget those 25000€ prices for these in here!
Just look WW id7 it is about half in price in China compare to Germany!
Beautiful in all aspects
50k is not a "very low price" Thomas 3:45 agree on the visibility and tiny rear turn signal trend, overall very nice and visible turn signals on this car, i like that undermirror signal as well, pretty original. i dont like door handles, inside door relese buttons, pano roof. i like that buttons on the steering wheel can be used for HVAC. makes "tablet only interor" bearable.
Not at all indeed! but for premium ev
@@autogefuehl may be premium (some may argue), but small ev. its nice, but starting at 50k is pretty high...
Not starting, 50 k fully packed - that’s actually the point. U have comparable vehicles at that point but they add 20-30 k equipment
@@autogefuehl ok, i misunderstood the pricing... i thought it's the starting price. 👍 i hope starting price will get under 35k, if the industry really want switch to EV we need more smaller (non SUV), more affordable EV cars for ordinary people....
how many languages have in menu? in which menu do you switch between languages?
Did anyone else notice the perforation on the door panels that look like a city skyline…? 🤔🤔 Thats pretty awesome…hmm…which city could it be?
When do you try the smart #1?
I just bought a Zeekr X, 5 seats, rear wheel drive.
Really liked the idea of moving center screen. Front passenger could better act as a co pilot for example setting navigation for the driver. And that is not allowed in EU?😢
You can get more fun on 4 seat version, but Unfortunately, it seems they are not available for sale in Europe
really interested in the charging curve. US won't get this model but I'm interested in EX30 and it should charge the same
Hopefully the charging capability doesn't fall victim to Volvo's cost cutting.
Looks so considerable.
This is a truly gorgeous car, both outside and inside... at first glance from your video I like it better than the EX30, I'm very pleasantly surprised myself.😀
Thanks 🙏🙏🙏
I wish this would come to the American market
I know it is unlikely that the Zeekr will come to the US - but it sure would be great if it did!
north america is joke when we talk about options for cars...
Zeekr's cousin Link & Co maybe coming to the US
Nice looking car but are they going to make this for UK, Aus, NZ & other RHD markets? If not then I can switch off now.
Definitely has a better better interior than the EX30 due to the driver straight ahead instrument display. Boot is a bit small & how can they only get 220 mile range out of a 66kWhr battery when a 5 year old Hyundai Kona can do 300 miles from a 64kWh? What battery chemistry are they using? I guess not LFP otherwise it would have been a sales feature worth mentioning. Unfortunately the price is far too expensive for such a compact car.
Nice video. At 7:49 there appears to be a crack in the plastic trim, top right corner. That is not good on a new car.
@Autogefuhl - Nice car but the battery is too small.
Is there a version with a bigger battery and therefore a longer range?
Nope. Yeah not planned for super long routes
Awesome car, very like it. When will it be available in EU? Please show us Zeekr 001 also
Driving review of the 001 soon!
Does it have latest spyware installed?
I don't think of them as sisters. I think of Polestar and Volvo as sisters as they share parts, designers and Polestar was spun off from Volvo. Zeekr has a different design and engineering team and is in a different subgroup at Geely Group. True, they share a platform and size factor but that's about it. I prefer the Volvo. It's understated and more Scandinavian chic. The Zeekr is busier and nice enough and I prefer the exterior of it over the interior.
How much longer is the wheelbase compared to the one of the Volvo ?
Volvo 2650mm Zeekr X 2750mm, one more thing maybe u also want to know, zeekr x has AIR VENT for rear seats passengers in B pillar , volvo ex30 doesnt have.
@@airx2144 Thank you 🙂
Great rewiev as always 💪🔥
I just dont get it why the so many different brands from one company ..Volvo, polestar and now Zeekr...🤷
Thanks 🙏
As explained at the very end!
Volvo is Volvo, Geely is Geely, Polestar is mostly owned and operated by Volvo and I don't think Geely would have much discourse or control in it. And Zeekr is the pure electric car brand fully operated by Geely (similar to lynk&co while it is not electric).
@@autogefuehl
Yes yes..but in my opinion 2 brands are enough but ok...just my opinion. 😂👍
@@bryanleubg Kidding yourself. Chinese Geely controls them all. I don’t think Europeans should delude themselves that Volvo is still “European” at all.
Will this car get the new catl battery sodium compressed ion solid state battery
Between the Volvo, Zeekr and Smart, this wins hands down . Hope Zeekr expands fast, and it would be great if they add integrated google like a Volvo. Volvo’s latest cars (the EX range) feels cheapstakes in my opinion
Thanks Thomas. It has al the extra's the Volvo is missing, at least from my point of view. Buttons, head up display and over 10% more luggage room. The Volvo is nicer from design, and I wonder how the service is for maintenance or fixes compared to Volvo or do they use the same dealer infrastructure?. Lets wait for the drive reviews to see how both cars drive.
Thanks 🙏
Good points
I thought so too but they dont want to use Volvo’s network to stay separate
They won't use the same dealer infrastructure because they are different brands. Sometimes, you can with Polestar at Volvo but only sometimes.
The Volvo is smaller. The ZeekrX is almost the size of an XC40. Volvo and Zeekr are different brands in different divisions. They're not connected as much as even Porsche and Audi. And even Polestar, much closer related to Volvo, isn't serviced by many Volvo dealers.
The fact that it has an NCM battery is a big drawback for me, and I would be much more attracted if it had an LFP, LMFP or sodium battery of the same capacity. I hope that the sale of vehicles is like that of Tesla, and not through the dealer's network in Europe, and thus to be better positioned in terms of price, considering that, as a Chinese brand, it has to break through on the European market. The screen does not slide to the passenger's side, like on the Chinese model, a very big pity. Very good idea)!!!!!!!!!!!
Why would that different chemistry be bad?
@@autogefuehl My situation requires that I do not use the car on a daily basis, but for personal needs, and they require longer kilometers, for such a LFP or LMFP battery is better because it has a longer life (battery capacity), is less likely to self-ignite, and can be charged regularly up to 100% with very little battery degradation. The NCM battery, on the other hand, is recommended to be charged to about 80%, because otherwise it has a large degradation in capacity and there is a greater possibility of self-ignition. When it is set that the LFP battery is charged to 100%, and the NCM to approx. 85%, it turns out that the LFP battery is a better option.
NMC. Just the smaller battery in the Volvo EX30 is LFP
Thanks for elaborating!!
I would like more than four color choices. C'est la vie...there's always wraps.
I'am really looking forward to a drivers car electric vehicle.. Wonder when someone decide to build it :D
@Thomas - why is your channel called ‘Autogefuhl’ but all of the links you are directing us to on your pinned comment are spelt ‘Autogefuehl’ ?
Autogefühl contains a German Umlaut Ü and in links Ü doesnt work and is translated to ue
I do not believe it has a low price for a compact. Volvo EX30 is cheaper and, other a cars like Tesla 3 o byd seal which play in a higher segment are much much cheaper. Beside this, Zeeker has to proof in the EU market that is a premium car and provides premium services. Veri nice interior and exterior design.
Nice !!!
Beautiful car. Still waiting on any manufacture to make a convertible roadster
Mg cyberster.
when it comes to Brazil ?
ELECTRIC INTERIOR DOOR RELEASE/ Battery is dead. how do I get out?
I don't think the indicators are very safe particularly the rear ones because they are rear facing only rather than the wrap around seen from the side type. There is nothing wrong in having big corner indicators that every car driver will see rather than these silly little slow moving thin leds.
I love it! I hope that virtual assistant doesn't drive you bananas like Nomi 😂
😂
You cant move the screen in the Europe version?
See my comment in the interior part
Too bad you never reviewed that #1. 😞
Nice Car, but the Price is WAY too high. If 45k and more is now considered "affordable" i have to talk with my Employer. Well, i think i can part with a Liver... 😅 No seriously, are those Car Manufacturers all gone mad (except Dacia)?
In China, it is approx. 30KEUR for the top 4 seats version.
I know, but in Europe we are expected to pay much more because we are all rich or something like that. And for Prices that high we better buy domestic EV's which are sometimes even cheaper and support our own Economy.
The Volvo EX30 looks good on the exterior; but it feels so cheap and empty compared to this one in the interior! Why do the Chinese have better cars than us now?!
Why are big manufacturers VW/Toyota fumbling spectacularly on infotainment system while new starts like BYD/Tesla/Nio/Lucid/Geely nailing it?
@autogefuehl looks like you never reviewed the Smart #1 or at least I cannot find a review for it. If that is the case, is there any reason why you have never reviewed it? I love Thomas reviews and I'd like to know his take on the #1.

2:36 I find the "3D" effect text less legible than the regular text from before.
That illuminated badge looks like a reverse light
I like the headlights...looks like lambo lights.
Driver's display and heads up display make this a better prospect over an EX30 for me. But 550,000 Swedish Krona is £40,000. I don't think it's £6000 better than a Volvo EX30.
Volvo EX30 should be replacement for my XC40T5. After presentation yesterday in cologne itˋs out of the race. Cheap Interieur, no cockpit display, HUD, jalousie and movable rear seats and 52k € for 4wd its 6k € more expensive than Smart #1 and a lot more than Xeekr X.
Thats price comparison with the smaller battery at volvo though!
It will be great when your review can add in the driving experience.
Contrast this car with almost any recent high range Mercedes. The Merc interior looks as if a child designed their favourite space ship, and is about as usable. This, as Thomas tells us, is a premium interior where less is more - as I believe. The UI on the touchscreen, which I hate, is well offset by real buttons on the steering wheel to do things which I am most likely to want while driving, such as heating controls. This looks like a really good compromise between real haptic feel and the need to put settings behind a touchscreen where functions can be changed in software.
Then you come to price and at less than €50k this does cause you think whether you really need the Mercedes. Though the review does not cover it, I would guess you do not get air suspension or 4W steering, but that to me might be the only reason to shell out for the Merc. Top speed may not be quite king of the autobahn, but 0-60 is as good as you could need.
I have been critical of recent German premium brands, but it does look as if Audi (recent RS7 review) and BMWs are heading back towards interiors and UI/UX which is intuitive and pleasurable to use. And they also have the great, but expensive, engineering features. However they really ought to take a look at this car for lessons in understated premium quality.

WATCH OUT FOR SPAM/FAKE ACCOUNTS. Across CZcams/Whatsapp/Telegram etc., you'll find fake accounts taking the identity of original channels or people claiming to work on the behalf of original channels, they sometimes even use the same profile pic, similar names and include a telephone number in the name or their comments, trying to get you to message them on Whatsapp or Telegram. DO NOT MESSAGE THEM, they are trying to get your personal details, bank accounts etc. and in the end, they will ask for money or they will misuse your bank account. They promise you giveaways, prices, payment etc. Do not fall for these cheap tricks and PLEASE HELP everyone and MARK THEIR MESSAGES and their whole accounts/channels as Spam and/or report their telephone numbers/Whatsapp to the police. We from Autogefuehl will never ask for your bank details. Check out our original channel marked with the verified badge.

Looks pretty good! I think it might be a better overall package compared to the EX30, but I sure hope the infantilizing cat sounds, etc. can be removed completely.
