SO, SO SORRY about the compression but there really isn't anything I can do about it. I'm uploading with the same settings as I always have and it is ONLY Hamlet that looks like this. I mean seriously, CZcams even has this at 1080p60 and it looks like doodoo at times. Annoying.

its actually big friendly bird, its based on the big friendly giant (BFG)

I love Beard's guides the most, well-paced and told from the perspective of a NEW player to DST/Hamlet, which is perfect for new players like me. Doesn't make me feel like I needed to have put 100 hours into the game already to pick up what the video is about.

Dont kill both of the hippopotamooses a nest only have 2 of them and if you kill both of them you basicly destroyed the nest instead killing both just leave one and the second one will respawn after a certain time

Another tip that makes bird whistle more useful: the BFB exit cave is totally random it seems, but occationally is on the main starting island. If so this can be a bonus, because you can use the whistle to give you a short cut from the Apocolyspe calendar island (I usually set up a town on this island).

Accidentally duped my Ro Bin. I picked the egg up at what I suppose was when it's supposed to hatch and got 2 Ro Bins + another egg that bugged out of existence when I tried to put it down.

Can't believe RoBin is BFB hatchling. It terrifying.
For Ro Bin's egg, hte best way i found to hatch it is to let it on the ground in the day and pick it up a dusk and night. That did the trick, maybe just bugged
It took me over 10 days to hatch while some folk have told me they've gotten him in three so it's just weirdly bugged I think.

I wonder if they'll put in some type of item to avoid Mama if you aren't close to any forest canopy or hamlet. Just for if you want to do your own thing without Mama swooping in to haul you halfway across the world.

I'm almost sure that lamp can give a doodad when hammered as well. Looks like the light bulb room is either rare or I'm unlucky, I've had it twice before through all my world gens (which would make it very rare), but my current world has 3 light bulb rooms in that cave, all of them being the single light bulb. Kinda crazy
I'd have to agree, mostly got mushtrees myself.

ii had a idea maybe a mod idea like little chunky boy i forgot the name of the ches- hutch of the hamlet can grow up and turn into a normal bfb and leave us alone but calling him with a bird whistle acts like a fast travel place to place but like normal bfb cant get in forests or citys

One of the only things you didn't mention about the pinnacle biome is that sometimes tallbirds can spawn there. Other than that, good video as always!

Just got hamlet, just encountered this beast a couple hours ago. I was frightened. Ran to the pigs with complete intention to let them all die if it meant i could escape but it just flew away. Then i died due to a mixture of no food (i picked all veggies to early and rarely entered combat) and nightmare creatures.
Hamlet goes South very quickly sometimes! 😅

The first time I got onto that island there was a failed survivor with miner's helmet! It made me think that it was guarantee, but hard nope! My most recent venture not only didn't have anything of notice, the eggs didn't drop a single gem! Only rocks...
Either way, Ro Bin is well worth it, especially when playing as Wheeler. The royal scepter too, but I've never managed to get to the Palace with it, so...
Good job Beard but I've been playing Hamlet only and I have some different experience. I might be wrong but the rock egg can die just like the tall bird egg and it dropped some rocks for me. The Platipine always dropped at least 2 quills (or 3 if I got lucky) and it can be stun locked like a spider or a bee. Thats just my experience and I'm not hating on you just thought I would point it out

BFB = Big Fucking Bird
It's actually Big Friendly Bird, but it's most likely a reference to the word Fucking, as other games have done the same thing before (namely doom and league of legends)
