Sean Strickland shocked the MMA world by defeating Israel Adesanya and becoming the new Middleweight champion. He did so by outstriking and largely dismantling Adesanya’s striking game. This caught many people by surprise as the select few who were giving Strickland a shot of winning believed wrestling would be the way he’d get it done. His win has caused a massive change in perspective as Strickland’s popularity and perception have skyrocketed ever since he became the new champion. Prior to this accession, Strickland was thought of as a middle of the pack middleweight but now he firmly sits atop one of the most dangerous divisions in MMA.

(or a combination of faith and your self-righteous works).
5. pray to God NOW that you're following these steps because if you die before making this decision, it's too late.

I was rooting for Sean. I didnt think he had much of a chance, but i was cheering for him. Then he went in there and samshed The Poochbender from pillar to post for 25 minutes, i was out of my chair and jumping for joy! 😁

I think Sean acts like a caveman but in reality knows exactly what he is doing. He executed a perfect game plan against the champ. Hope his next few fights he can keep up the "I'm a jackass that just walks forward and swings" schtick, so his opponents continue to underestimate him.

I started watching mma in 2020 and i couldn't understand why nobody was giving Sean a chance.. i was getting laughed at in the comment sections when i asked why nobody giving the guy with the best defence a chance... I think it was more about riding izzy nuts more than actual assessment

Ian Garry would get smoked by Strickland, he doesn't understand the details in Stricklands performance, a detailed and disciplined performance will always beat throwing everything but the kitchen sink at your opponent, a bit like the first fight between Anderson Silver and Chael Sonnen, although the outcome was different, Sonnens superior wrestling nullified silvers well rounded game, Stricklands pressure and striking was just better, there was no reason to mix it up with wrestling kicks or ground fighting, if the simple recipe is working, stick with it.

What shocked me was that every elite fighter had Izzy to win because they gave excellent breakdowns as to the why. Henry Cejudo, Bisping, Mighty Mouse and everyone and their mother. DJ made a great point at the end of his prediction "but thats why we match MMA, because shit can happen"

Lets be honest, Izzy and like, 90% of the ufc community underestimated Strickland. Omaley is a JOKE he himself had a lucky Punch against Aljo. Unlike Sean, he DOMINATED Izzy for 5 rounds... Very different. I was cheering for Sean. I didnt think he had much of a chance, but i was honestly rooting for him. Because, Izzy changed, he became to arrogant. Maybe its the money I dont know. I felt like Izzy deserved something like this. For real, I couldnt believe what I was seeing that night :D Feel so happy for Sean. China Man will come back, I am sure :D

Sean will lose his belt against his next opponent. The reason Sean’s defense looks so good is because he doesn’t throw strikes . He shells up and just comes forward. He basically just waits for the perfect chance to land a hard shot. Very low punch output . If Izzy stood and threw multiple combination punches , it would of went Izzy’s way
