Dahi bhat is a very easy and simple recipe. You can use leftover rice too for this recipe. You can give this for your kids’ lunch box. Let’s learn to make delicious dahi bhat.
Ingredient:
• 1 cup Curd
• 1/2 tsp Powdered sugar
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp Ginger green chili paste
• 1 1/2 cups Boiled rice
• Finely chopped Coriander leaves
• 1 tbsp Oil
• 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
• 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
• 1/2 tsp Hing / Asafetida
• Curry leaves
• 1 or 2 Dried red chilies
Method:
• Take curd in a bowl. Add powdered sugar, salt and ginger green
chili paste.
• Beat the curd until it becomes nice and creamy.
• Add boiled rice and finely chopped coriander. Mix well.
• For tadka, heat up oil in a tadka pan. You also can use ghee for
tadka.
• Add mustard seeds and let them pop up.
• Add cumin seeds, hing, curry leaves and dried red chilies.
• Mix well and add this tadka in rice.
• Mix well and dahi bhat is already.
• This rice remains good for 1-2 days.
