This song is F’N epic, this band has far more great songs than I knew back in the day.. I recently came off of a 8 month binge of L7, and I’m still not sick of them, I just had to force myself to listen to other shit again ….

Pretend We're Dead is one of their more radio friendly hits. It's the song that peaked everyone's ears, made me buy the album, don't regret at all, L7 rocks.

Had to take it all in, at first. I was hesitant because of the "advisory", not knowing who they were, and your beginning introduction. But... Musically i loved it! The voice gave me a Joan Jett/Debrah Harry vibe. As a whole it - sounded like a song you'd hear on the CW (Dawson's Creek, One Tree Hill, etc). Fun song! Love love love your analogies (aloe vera). 😂

L7 minor minor small hit wonder in its day - nothing more than a blip. There were many great female fronted bands at that time - the first I would suggest would be the original PRETENDERS (in the rock n roll hall of fame). Anything off their first record is considered one of the best debut albums of all time. Try the track "TATTOED LOVE BOYS" video shows them playing live. She ushered in the hip, cool, punk/new wave who could sing and write her ass off. Did not hurt that the guitar player - was considered one of the best of his generation up there with Johnny Marr/ Keep up the good work - enjoy watching your reveiws..especially of Canadian bands (try SAGA another Canadian icon band during its heyday.))

If you guys are gonna scratch the surface of what grew out of punk and hardcore with this, you should go all in! "I Against I" by Bad Brains is a great one to start with, along with "Holiday In Cambodia" by Dead Kennedys (the album version- way better than the single). For post-HC I would start with Fugazi ("Waiting Room" or "Margin Walker"). Great channel guys!

L7 is the opposite of Vixen they did not want to be compared to Vixen ,,its funny all these years later , Vixen and L7 play together, i guess time changes things ! But still love the ladys swager !
