Alot of people are shocked to see that this happened in Venezuela but this has been happening for years i have many family there and my mother is from Venezuela so many people have to steal to survive due to the government and you can get killed for even wearing fancy jewelry or cool shoes because they will rob and kill you over the smallest things my mom was held at gun point and my grandparents house was actually robbed recently and dont get me started on the worth of bolivares to dollars when my grandparents had to come to the US due to my mom being scared for them all of their life savings was equal to two oatmeal cans and they werent dead poor they were middle class my grandma was a teacher and my grandpa was a doctor its so incredibly sad seeing the people i love living like that since the middle class is diminishing and turning into the poor class the only people who arent affected are people living in the capital and working with the government you see it too where I live since there is a big Venezuelan population there are people who use cards from Venezuela that usually dont work because of the worth of bolivares there but you still see these stuck up women who you know lived in the capital and worked in the government helping hide the truth of the horrors there
I’ve actually been in a situation like that so let me tell you😊 So I was just shopping in a mall drinking my starbies cause I’m a basic white girl and all of the sudden I see people running. Then this lady says “There’s a gun” or whatever so we (we being my mom,her boyfriend,my2 brothers, and me) run into the nearest store (Victoria secret) and we got to go in the back of the store and sit there for a while until the police showed up and got the guy with a gun. I didn’t see the guy or anything else but here’s also what I heard happened; so apparently these 2 guys were fighting over a girl 🤭 and it got into a physical fight until one of them pulled out a gun and that’s when it kinda started also before this happened I did see them and I think the girl was hitting a guy with her purse (as she should) Ps. No body got hurt 😅
