This is the longplay of the game Shrek: Hassle at the Castle, platform game and beat 'em up in 2D released exclusively for the Game Boy Advance. This game follows the plot of the first Shrek movie, where the title character is a boring and terrifying green ogre who loves solitude in his swamp, sees his life interrupted when various creatures of fairy tales are exiled there by order of the evil Lord Farquaad . Shrek tells them that he will talk to Farquaad to send them back. He takes with him a talkative and lively Donkey who knows the way to Duloc and in this way, the Shrek knows Princess Fiona, that falls in love with the ogre to have many things in common with him, but the Fiona already was promised to the Lord Farquaad and Shrek needs to fight for the love of the princess, while dealing with the personality and advice of the Donkey. In the game you can play with Shrek, Donkey or Fiona. It's a linear but fun game, but it helps to get an idea of the movie (an excellent movie by the way, and it had exciting sequences).

I remember when I got this game. It was Christmas 2005, I think. I was about 4 years old, and it was my first game I got with my SP along with Mario Kart. I remember really enjoying it, and it was one of the few games at that age that I ended up beating. Probably with some help, but I do remember beating Farquaad by myself.

Out of all the Shrek games that have been released, this is the only one that adapts the first movie. I just find that so weird since all the later films got a major console release, while the first films adaptation was a handheld game and the console game had nothing to do with the film.
