I like all of them. To me, the biggest challenge is to play them in a way they sound beautiful. Sometimes I try to play bossa-nova and I add the extensions, but I fail to make them sound nicely.

I like them all, and I typically play most all of those! Nice to make a jam out of that and mix and match the voicings in and out of each other like guitar jazz chord melody style. By adding the 11ths, it sounds more modern, so I think fusion cats would lean towards that tonality more, sounding like Chick Corea or Herbie Hancock type arrangements. Of course the 9ths and 13ths are always sweet, and for me on guitar, 🎸 they're always the easiest grip to grab while comping.🎉

I like 9ths as the meal, with 13ths as the spice. 11ths are great too, especially minor ones. But I like the contrast between the relative openness of the 9ths compared to the density of the 13ths. Great video.

To an uneducated man like me, the reasoning for raising the 11ths instead of keeping them diatonic is puzzling, likewise for the dominant chord. It SOUNDS good, but it seems like there'd be so much guess work followed by figuring out why something you stumbled across sounds good.
