We were joined by Leila Slimani, winner of the 2016 Prix Goncourt (France’s most prestigious literary prize) to mark the English release of Lullaby, the intense and gripping literary thriller, that took France by storm.

Journalism prepares one to write, it is upto the writer to think and write with clarity... Sometimes mother kills as well, as Nannay is missing due to covid restrictions and its too much noise and things get out of hand... It happened last year..
The writer is making a point to us to be more humane and be helpful.. Poverty is a real thing and it cannot be solve on its own or will disappear if we decide to look the other way.

I really enjoyed this book and this additional insight from Leila Slimani added even more to it. I had no idea it was based on a true story!
