We are the wind of the nordic lands
strong and wild and blowing so cold
    We are your death
an icy sword trough your flesh
In the top of the snowed mountains
we prepare our weapons to fight
Cleaning the blood of our swords
sharpening the wing of the last bloody axe
Swords are kissing the flesh of the enemy
the sun is rising up in the sky
heads will fall from day to night
    We are warriors of ice!
Standing in front of enemy lines
the rage is running trough the veins
    So many heads will fall!
The victory is near is the end of your days
Feel the death close to you!
You have to prey for your life
    feel your life gone
    straight to hell!
Swords are kissing the flesh of the enemy
the sun is rising up in the sky
heads will fall from day to night
    We are warriors of ice!
    (Solo)
Swords are kissing the flesh of the enemy
the sun is rising up in the sky
heads will fall from day to night
    We are warriors of ice!
Swords are kissing the flesh of the enemy
the sun is rising up in the sky
heads will fall from day to night
    We are warriors of ice!

@mrBelfegorr i can imagine a metal band that worships God, in fact i can think of a whole bunch of them

As long as the music makes you feel good anything goes. It's best to have some degree of flexibility to genres. I like some comercial music also, but prefer metal.

@LorenzoLiar why would that crap rise in a badass country that produced In Extremo and Rammstein ? T_T
so far, here in Romania we're safe \m/ Our thrash/heavy/progressive/death metal bands keep it safe XD

@Promoterist nobody said death metal was worshiping anything. this is melodic death metal with some pagan influences. black metal sometimes worships satan, which is stupid imo

I'm not religious or nothing like that,
But i'm not against people who talk about religion in their music,
Because it's somehow culture. (Yes, that's because music, it's about culture)
I don't think that metal band make religious lyrics to make a "join us" religious mantra, it's only history and culture.
I think it's cool to see that what common people calls "stupid and ignorants headbangers", in reality are persons with a really great culture in history, religions or whatever you want.

I suppose that comment was directed at me.
So... you (presumably) listen to bands that tell you that you will go to Hel, of you do worship a guy who was nailed to a cross. Is that any better?
Also: Do you always do, what lyrics tell you? As a cannibal corpse fan, do I have to commit violent bloodthirsty murders?
No. Just as well, I can listen to christian bands without worshiping God or Jesus or whatever.

For example As I lay Dying are all christians but have some good songs.

@ylfluoS it's all about your own personal taste. i (most of the times) put equal value to lyrics and instrumentation - so any religious music is out of the question(i find the lyrics of bad taste and if you will, for the less bright) - be it dedicated to satan, jesus, buddha or whatever.
if you can handle bad lyrics in favor of good music, it's your choice/virtue my friend. if lady gaga starts using electric guitars i still won't listen to her music ^^

@xTime2Killx i'm an atheist. i don't believe in good or evil of any kind. i don't need any deity to tell me what to do :D and making songs to worship satan is just like church music, but that's just my opinion ^^

  • @Sardath13
    @Sardath13  Před 13 lety

"metal community" wtf are you talking about ? i listen to what music i like, regardless of genre. i won't listen to crap only because it has "metal" attached to it. i personally don't want lyrics about how i'm going to burn in hell if i don't worship a guy who was nailed to a cross. if those lyrics are in metal => that type of metal is crap, at least in my opinion

  • @Sardath13
    @Sardath13  Před 11 lety

Music has 2 purposes, to send a message -culture,political and what not- and to lay down your personal feelings and share them with the world. Regarding christian metal, I have yet seen a band that tastefully presents christianity. They mostly praise the aspects of christian life and their God. I'm pretty sure there are exceptions(cultural, as you stated), but I don't want things like God is our savior or hail Satan, for that matter. I find the themes bland, overused and very little enriching.

This would be much better with regular vocals. The growls litteraly ruin the music.

@LorenzoLiar Not cool, im all for god but mixing religion and metal never works it seems like, and im talking about like i don't want no praise jesus in my metal. If ya know what i meen. There is a point of going too far. Lets sing about swords and slaughter.

This was good until I heard those vocals. Together We Die sound great as well but the vocals are painful. Why have something sound like rhapsody of fire but have death metal vocals as lead. How can you have NO clean vocals. You don't see elvenking, Rhapsody, Luca Turilli, Dragonland, Alestorm, or Divinefire, or Amaranthe and all that have death metal vocals. Dragonland, Rhapsody, Amaranthe, Alestorm, and Divinefire do, but those have the death metal vocals as in and out on songs and they don't have the death metal vocals as lead. Compare this song to Rhapsody's Warrior of Ice, this song COULD hold up. But I can't comprehend why you have to have it be death metal vocals I can't understand why you have to have death metal vocals when you have Rhapsody/Elvenking-type folk/peaceful music badass Manowar-like guitars. I saw this and heard it and say, I might listen to this bad. But then I'm not fully sure if I should if the lead singer's voice makes it hard to enjoy the music.

And where exactly is the problem with christian metalbands?
Other than them being hated by little children trying to be "true". You are "true" only in one aspect: in being the true thorn in the side of the metal community.
Oh, and just in case: No, I'm no devout christian, I can't name a single band that sings about god and I certainly don't care as long as the music is good.
