You are so right! I got mine and to quote you, you're right "you cant understand until you get one in your hands" YES OH MY GOSH!!! I d don't know either but there is something very special about this bible... I also have some very high quality bibles like yours but there is just something about this bible. and reading the print is indescribably enjoyable and very easy to read even from a distance. I just got this in the edge lined black genuine leather at a book outlet for cheap where you can still find and at great price. Had same experience in terms of feel in the hand. I had the brown goatskin premiere edition KJV Giant Print Center Column Reference (vbv also) which was nice in comparison but this NKJV in the genuine leather version is amazing and I prefer it.
I have one of these and a brand new Schuyler Credo in Marbled Mahogany and I like this one better.
I just picked up one of these and also have the same Schuyler Credo type, with both being my nicer NKJVs - but something must have changed with the leather, I like the print of the Thomas Nelson more but the Schuyler marbled mahogany calfskin is softer and smoother in my version

Yes, it's definitely special... It's the only Bible that got me doing a thumbnail on top of my bed :) LOLoved your review... The black cat outside the window was a really nice natural touch! Nice flip flops, amazing black leather and black cat while you were petting the black leather! That was awesome :) :) :)
I literally feel like you do in this video lol as soon as I got mine! I couldn't put it down, or stop reading it... Ended up falling asleep with it and used it as a cosy pillow. It truly stands out. I'm so glad I bought it! My mom loved mine so much, I ordered the brown leather for her the same day I got mine! His review is NOT exhadurated; believe me! God bless.

I need an NASB just like this! This layout! Center column references. Verse by verse. Readable text. Some spacing for doodles/notes. I preordered the preaching bible from Zondervan but I’m considering canceling as I was a bit disappointed. I know I know it’s a preaching bible but I want one for study and teaching... the search continues....
Only reason I'm leaning towards the Thomas Nelson Premier instead of Schulyer is because of the lack of book introductions. I really believe the introduction sets the stage for the book you are about to read and i'm so used to it I don't want to go back.
I have this Bible and love it. I sent mine off to be thumbed indexed and absolutely enjoy it. There’s not a NKJV Bible out there, in this price range, that can even come close to the quality of this Classic VbV.
Schuyler may be slightly better in their binding but the Schuyler isn’t worth double the price of this Nelson.

Just ordered a single column nkjv brown goatskin. Considered getting the black, but ordered the brown instead. Thank you so much for your review. You convinced me I made the right choice. I am so excited, as I am receiving it Monday. Thank you again. As for the flip flops. Love them, but need arch support. My doctor recommended Chokos or Birkenstocks. I settled on the Chokos, and love them. Thank you again. I feel bad tho, because I am Orthodox and we are celebrating Lent right now. Although I think God still loves me even tho I indulged myself. BJ Hewitt I have this classic VbV Bible and the Preachers Bible. The Classic VbV is hands down the better of the two.
I have the 28 gsm Schuyler and this bible. I would rate the Schuyler higher. It has a better goatskin, better paper, larger fonts; and for me the paragraph format with very bold verse numbers provides great readability. Also, one of best features of the NKJV are the translation notes, which in the Schuyler, are separated from the cross references. OT Quotes in the NT are in italics; this is a great feature. I do appreciate a good concordance and the Nelson wins. Nelson VBV represents a great value but it is a few notches below the latest NKJV Quentel.

I feel the same way about my Canterbury wide margin as you do about this one. I know we can’t own them all but I think you would love the wide margin I think they have plans to make it in the NASB.
Absolutely awesome Review! Thank you so much. I ordered the premium one and it is getting harder to find a newer version in verse by verse. I 'study' the bible A LOT and I cant hardly use the paragraphed ones, hard to find verses in a class or listening to a teaching too. I can't wait for it to arrive but it's actually on backorder at Christianbook.com where I found it on a good 3 day sale for $119.00 no tax, free shipping but I went ahead and paid for "a little" faster when they do get it in next week 🙏 I have bought a few bibles and things from them, usually pretty good service. I'm excited hope it doesn't take too long...I'm like you and have a bookshelf full of bibles, Love them! your treasure is where your heart is... By the way, I got a Schuyler KJV Canterbury a good while back and I love it. I'm sure this NKJV will be my new go-to bible after I get it! I have a few other NKJV study bibles mostly, but nothing this nice. Just wanted to also mention the Canterbury had a pretty bad typo in it and I called the Co. upon which they acted like it was nothing and said they were aware of the typo???... I don't think it's nothing... I thought they should at least give me a coupon or something? But no just wanted to get off the phone... I will not be buying anymore very pricey bibles from them.

I'm considering this but just curious how has it held up over a bit of time?
I have found that the paper Nelson uses is better for me as far as marking in my Bible. For some reason, Nelson's "premier " is better for me because of my highlighting and underlining habits. I also prefer two column format because my eyes have a problem moving across the page. I think I will take a look at this one, and perhaps other versions of this binding.

To me this may be it. (Lol, I know it won’t be my last, but...) I can’t wait to feel it in my hands. I do prefer the red letter. Maybe I will progress at some point, but I still enjoy Jesus’ words in red!
I’ve also been looking for a great bible for my son in law (his name is also David Lee 😉) I think this is it.
I too am in love with this Bible and got it specifically because of the red letter; wanted the brown leather but it didn't come in red letter so I opted for the black instead. My mom loved mine so much, I ordered her the brown leather the same day I received mine LOL. Truly a very special Bible. Can't put it down or stop falling asleep with it!! :)

I have this version and two of the Leathersoft versions. I've been using one of the Leathersoft versions and will probably rebind it myself in the future. I, too, wish there was a black letter version and also a version in their brown goatskin. This text block is the only Bible I have been using since it was introduced and will likely remain that way. Thomas Nelson has a winner with this Verse-by-Verse. Are you listening Schuyler, Allan and Cambridge?
I have both editions and the Leathersoft version is GOOD too. It is the best leathersoft Bible I have seen; such an eloquent design.
What’s in the bottom right corner on each page it looks like maybe footnotes but there’s only a couple lines.
Oh I covet. I already have and love the Preaching Bible but I can’t stay away from these reviews for this one! I don’t want the concordance, that’s how I’m talking myself out of it, haha.
I just discovered Thomas Nelson’s Premiere Collection, and bought a MacArthur Study Bible in goatskin, and really am impressed. I wish I had seen this Verse by Verse NKJV first! Now I’ll have to get them both! But I can bring myself to write in my Bible if I’ve paid over $100 for it. How do you do it? Do you ever regret it? Thanks for your review. I don't ever regret it. -But the 1st mark is always the hardest.

I’m interested in purchasing the NKJV Classic Verse-by-Verse Center-Column Comfort Print Reference Bible. My question is, what is the gsm for the non premium edition? Is there a difference between the paper between the genuine leather edition compared to the premium?
My friend at church has the same Bible in a non premium. The paper seems to be the same as mine.

Would you say this is your “go to” NKJV over the quentel? And is it still as “pet able” as described or has the initial wow worn off, lol. I’m looking for a NKJV to complement my NASB (Allan reader) and KJV to be part of the triad I’m focusing on reading and learning through this year
Yes to all the above. If you’re used to the Allan Reader, then this type-setting will feel familiar.
I had a bad ecperience w evangelical bible on a damaged Quentel. I may need this to calm me down.

Doing fine, it's not my EDC but it is my most used NKJV. It's held up fine for me.

I'm looking for a NKJV single column W/Jesus words in red min. 10 pt. leather and can't find one here in the US . I want it as a daily reader , I just want the perfect bible
I just picked up one from Amazon and I could be mistaken, not sure if anyone else experienced it - but is it possible they changed the leather in more recent printings? It is rough textured and not very soft, reminds me a little bit of the leather on Crossway’s heirloom when they were produced in China….Still love the comfort print and layout, but now trying to decide whether to return it or if it’s worth it to keep…it’s still not a bad deal for around $100 but it is nowhere near the cover they had before (my husband has the first edition thin line in this video with the gold stamping on the hubs, his is softer and feels nicer that the version of this that I received…

No problem at all, just wanted to put it out there that there might be a difference in some batches out there … but it is still such a great Bible, size, typeface, layout - I love the inside and you were right on that it’s familiar if using the NASB reader … will keep it and potentially send it in as a rebind! I have a black “new” Quentel red letter, and just bought this Premier Collection VBV. They are VERY similar. I very respectfully disagree; you can compare the construction. Schuyler would be a 10 and this Premier Collection would be an 8.5 or 9, probably 9. I prefer VBV layout to paragraph and center column reference to references at the bottom. I think I am going to use the Nelson more... Is the Schuyler higher quality? Yes. Is it double the price/$100 better? No, not unless you just want the very best and are willing to pay for it. The Schuyler maps are FAR superior to the Nelson.

I agree that for the price this is an amazing Bible (bought one after watching your video). It is not quite a Schuyler, Allen or Cambridge but it is an improvement over the first Premier edition I saw, viz; the first KJV Premier. This is one I can take to church and if anything happened I would not be devastated but I could say (tongue totally in cheek) ‘Keep to yourself, Do not come near me, For my Bible is squishier than yours!’

I got this bible two days ago, not too impressed. Ribbons were glued in crooked and the top rib is flatter than the rest and not as pronounced at the other ribs. Like it's mushy. Was a gift, glad I did not pay for it, super expensive bible for us here in the 3rd world. Like can they not at least have some form of quality control. I cannot just return it.
The heading at Philippians also has a misprint. It says "he Epistle of Paul..." the T from THE is missing.
Oh no, I'd write Thomas Nelson to see if they can replace that one, that's not normal.

again no thumb index. Try to find a refrence, thumb indexed, in NKJV, CSB, or NASB is like pulling teeth. add in the larger print i'd like 12pt is impossible.
King James is black letter only in the premier edition
The Thompson chain reference in the premier edition is also just black letter edition from zondervan new for 2022
