Will you do this for other sports, like wrestling?
Played for 45 years and weight trained the whole time. It really helped, team mates used to say your naturally fit Ha. Gave me a great Jump and upper body strength to control others in game without grabbing hold of them.
This channel has become one of my favorites when it comes to building an overall better standard of living. I've been in the "gym" since I was a teenager and I'm now in my early 30s still feeling like I'm 19. This sports specific content has elevated many aspects. Much love, Dane, from PA!
Brazilian soccer here, great content
Another exercise that helped me a lot when playing ⚽ is heavy KB swings 🔥
Thank you
I play soccer for 30 years now and lift very often. I'm now suffering from patella tendinopathy so i can play for several weeks but i'm still going strong with the peak strength app.
First of all: love that you upload so much football content (that's my main sport)
Also, I would love these same format for volleyball and baseball pitchers please 🙏🏻
Hey Dane, Love the content, keep Up the great Work. I would Like to know what you think about a taurine Supplementation and how much u think athlets should take for one day. Thank you. Greetings from Germany
Thank you verymuch.
👍🙏🏃💪🌹♥️♥️♥️🌷🌠🌌😘
Funk yes regarding the BSS 💪
Do like this Benchmark "serie", gives something to work towards. I would however also like the numbers for women.
i’m bulking for football, what do my meals need to look like , breakfast? lunch? dinner? snacks? What condition should i be doing? And what sets x reps should i be doing?
Lets go! Single Leg squats all day~!
Plyometrics with strength training would help me in matches.
Soccer allows shoulder barging. BBall has no forceful contact. Also I notice there much more “wrestling”/ boxing out when competing for ball. That takes strength.
What about powercleans off the floor? Would the weight needed be more or the same?
Can you make a video for only goalkeepers.
This but for hockey would be appreciated
I knew lots of soccer players that ignored off field training. They had great ball control but no athleticism. We put together a school team of football and hockey players, we made the final because we were bigger and faster than the soccer players who didn't lift.
What city/state?
America?
What about for goalies?
I'm 70 kg I have to carry 110kg too?
Adama Traore looks like he can bench a lot
I would be amazed if any top pro has ever put over 60kg on his back for a single leg squat.
Frrrrr. European soccer players don't lift heavy at all. Even the slightest fatigue is a problem
@arkapravade7234 many can squat over 150 kg in off season. They look lean but they are very strong.
@@SudiptoMukherjee-gn2sr some possibly could, but I'd be very surprised if any ever did. Please show evidence.
@simontaylor2525 i myself am the evidence, tho i cant show u, i hope u believe me.
@simontaylor2525 i used to do 80 kg single leg jump squats, and that too just for a local club in india where football is not even popular. Then think about the pro European footballers , they must b stronger than me anyway
What percentage of these numbers would you be aiming towards for women?
40 to 50 percent for leisure, 60 percent for pro female footballers.
Soccer players in Europe rarely lift heavy lol
This is probably the reason why US "soccer" is still on such a low lvl compared to european football and our 38+ yrs old players come to your continent to win in your league alone. You US guys think that you need to squat and lunge more instead of training actual football.
.
.
(Obviously a mean joke on the internet from a random trolling guy - for all the easily offended)
guys, sorry to tell you that but this is not true. Best football (soccer in USA) players in the world do not need to squat 100 kg..
Exactly. They usually play with the ball and do core based exercises for improving balance and a bit of plyos and moderate weights with low reps in an intense manner
Wrong information
Don't soccer players only need to be strong enough to not get injured when they flop?
True. Anything more than that means you're focusing more on your strength than is required from you. You're better off as a soccer player putting all that time and energy practicing your shooting, dribbling and first touch.
A strong dynamic trunk gets you right and if you mix the strength workouts
stick to handegg kid. Thats all you are mentally capable of playing
Haha good one scout
