It's my favorite place and my 1st time, our family flow bWI to ORD (1hr) Ord to HNL (10 hrs) on a DC-10 in the middle seat.....thanks for showing the Big Island.... now we route through LAX or San Fran to break it up. Did you go to Hana in Maui? One Love 💖

I was going to ask this same question. Now, with it considered international, do you have to use your passport or can you use your regular ID since it is still in the US?
I’m aware Hawaii is a state. Hawaii is considered “international” for us because of our checks and duties. Also, because of the distance to the nearest airport. This information is placed in the description 🙂

I always suggest breaking it up with a stop in Cali. Just the resort in Kona.

Yes! The beach at the resort. Kona doesn’t have a lot of beaches because it’s mostly lava, but I did at the resort

You have to check with specific airlines, but at mine, you get a hotel when you have an overnight assignment
