If you're curious about the 1 day, 300 scores with Andy, I don't have a completed save with the ROM. And I didn't want to record with a camera pointed at my DS. So I dl-ed a ROM (I do own the actual game on cartidge) and a completed save and just rolled with it.
3 attempts resulted in failure. The 4th attempt is this recorded attempt. I think the sound goes a little out of sync. I think using the turbo button on the emulator occasionally caused FRAPS to goof. You may want to watch on 2x speed.
If there are long pauses, it's because I am thinking. Despite this being a small map, there are ALOT of moves that can be made, especially with a CO that is focused on movement.
Could I have done better? Probably by a little. I haven't touched the game in 3 years, so this was quite a feat in my opinion. I left the animations on so I could gauge the enemy's HP bar if need be. I think eventually there was just too much info to process and I just forgot about it.

I finished this mission with Lash just a few days ago, I recommend her for it. Her passive bonus makes her mechs trade well when standing in the mountains. I didn't advance as fast as you, but exploiting weaknesses in the encirclement to capture the bases is definitely the way to go. And keeping bases filled so the enemy can't cover/capture them.

Damn mech spamming is op. I mean it's a small map so you can easily swarm them with their low costs. And that terrain near your hq is also a huge pain so they're very viable. More reason to use mech spam here is because you have to cut short their Factory access and recycling them by joining together is a great plan. Btw great video!
Mech spam is my favorite anime.

I did it but on Dual Strike, 21 days, 269 points (speed and force at 100) , I also mech spammed and funnily enough, got that bottom right base the same way (near 30:59) but with a normal powered mech instead.
I guess it's easier on DS because Kanbei is back to 120/120 and powers on AW2 don't give 10% attack AND defense like DS if I'm not wrong.
And dual strike gives you more buildings at the start

I'm just watching this, and at 20:10 I don't understand the choice not to use the super to eliminate the rockets, recon, and damaged artillery and blocking the tanks so that you can capture the city.
Good point there. Knowing me, I was prolly thinking that it wasn't worth popping it for just two units and halfway thru my turn. And I wanted to save it to steal the bottom right Kanbei base as soon as I could. One of my bad habits of holding on to my super

Any reason why you took so long to build vehicle units?
It's been a while, but from memory, I think I was trying to capture as many bases as possible whilst being able to prevent the enemy from coming into my main base. Because mech spam is OP in this game. And with a well-timed super, I can snake around things and steal bases.
And in a map like this under this condition, 2x mechs are more cost effective than a single tank for 7000g.
Yamata no orochi Smith mech spam is very viable in this mission as they're cheap and cost-effective. Swarmig them wont take long as this is a very short map.
Focus on defense and survival since he is dealing with two enemy COs within striking distance.

I've just beat this map S Rank 300 Score with Sturm (23 days)
My Goodness, it was EXHAUSTING
Sturm is the best CO in this game. Soooo not too much of accomplishment since Sturm is just REALLY freaking strong

But that misses the point of the challenge. Playing a powerful CO like sturm is like playing on easy mode. Anyone could do it
