    I don’t need to defend anyone or argue with anyone here but just felt like writing this.
    Saurabh has done his post graduation in Hindi, he is the editor of India Today Hindi magazine and Lallantop which is a Hindi news platform. He basically eats, breathes, lives in that language day in day out… hence it is quite natural to have that vocabulary and since it is an important part of his professional and personal life, it is bound to become his routine and reflex. I feel he expresses himself the best when he lets his acquired and innate language reflexes do their job. You can clearly see the difference when he speaks in his choice of Hindi words and when he speaks in English. His English is quite measured and controlled whereas he is just super smooth when he uses his core skillset. No disrespect intended but if it was a Shashi Tharoor or a Karan Thapar instead then most of us would have been going gaga over their speech/sentences/words for sure. The bottom line is that none of them need to prepare their words…all of them have their unique and effortless style. Yeah, everyone is entitled to have their likes, dislikes, agreements, disagreements but along with it we should try and be respectful, not demean anything/anyone and not write something off.

      A lot of people in India have no skill to identify a fake person from an honest one. They see anyone holding themselves to a higher standard as pretender. While pretender is someone who is not on some level and trying to project themselves as one. While guys like Saurabh Dwivedi are already on that level, they don't need pretending.
      Sometimes people misjudge them out of ignorance and sometimes it's pure jealousy.

      nahin bhai maine shuru se dekha hai he has become faker and faker, which is so funny because he says "humne vedi pe sehejta ko chadhaya hai" as of he is not superfake and annoying. Frustrated insaan shayad khudki kami hi dusron mein dekhta rehta hai.
      saurabh pehle kaafi mast tha ab bahut zyada fake aur frustrated lagta hai. chugalkhor jealous uncle types jo sabko gyaan dete rehte hain aur andar jalte rehte hain. he has been fanboing like a bhakt over the same old 10-11 mediocre folks since a decade jaise bas wahi akash se utre hon (though the world has moved on), name dropping randomly, wahi mythology related same baaton pe atak jaana, mostly copy-paste gyann of others no original beliefs or genuineness. paka dala uncle ne. bahut fake to be honest even in his facial expressions.

      Even I was wondering about the same thing. His diction and his language is so "sahaj". No usage of big hindi or english words. No fast paces sentences to confuse others and make an impression. No such façade. A pure, natural aur sahaj mulaqaat, with natural and saral bhaasha. No additional glam-sham. Loved his non-show off personality.

    I met Saurabh in intial years of Lallantop (2016) when a friend suggested. Saurabh welcomed me in office with warmth and we talked and laughed alot. I asked him- what is lallantop-is it Scroll of Hindi or ScoopWhoop of Hindi and he said that its neither. Lallantop is something unquie.
    I loved the way he had clear idea about what is lallantop and what its not.
    Saurabh invited me to write few articles for Lallantop and it was fun
    I wish if it was continued.

    This interview should have been 10hrs long and i would have paid for it.
    Its so humble of him to say main zyaada nahi padha hu because if thats true hum sab log aaj hi paida hue hai.
    And the thing he says about the word hate is not the first time he said that but it is very important for this generation to understand it.
    Also when he mentions about what question he is going to ask Yuval that shows how deeply he thinks about society.

    Unpopular opinion: I admire Saurabh's work, but he (more often than not) gets carried away when he talks. He is definitely gifted when it comes to talk in Hindi, but in this interaction, it seems like he is trying to put everyone in awe of his Hindi, than to answer the question asked. Lately, this tendency is also seen in his interviews on Lallantop as well. Sometimes I feel that one should tell him "ke bhai mudde pe aao, kya puchha hai aur kya bata rahe ho." No disrespect, just an honest opinion. Hope someone gives him this feedback from his team.

      I think in the news room he needs to be more you know little cut short in this type of long interviews the format is to say more and more and more and can deviate from one point to another and vaibhav will switch his question according to that there's no set pattern unlike other podcast that's the uniqueness of chalachitra talks

      Why we want everyone to be concise like westerners especially Germans. Everyone has distinct style of conversation. While growing up in India I used to enjoy listening different way of talking of grown ups and then we used to copy their styles. Now I’m here in US almost 15 years and it’s such a bland place in terms of conversations. When I hear them it’s like everyone is concise and to the point almost robotic.
      I love how we (Indians/Pakistanis) talk and connect with each other.

Watching you grow from 25K to 50K and then battling to cross 100K subscribers has been inspiring. This is too good an interview. The best thing about Vaibhav is that he lets his guest speak their heart out without bothering or interrupting them with his own stupid questions like some of the mainstream podcasters do these days (thinking about death and all, you know who). Vaibhav is quite calm, measured, and willing to listen. Absolutely admire this skill of his. And well, Saurabh, what can we speak about his aura? So charming, so intellectual. I didn't know that lizards and snakes could have that effect on the human body (just for laughs, I don't mean to test it though). Then the perspective about those grey characters and the final revolutionary suggestion. Hats off to him. #Beehad

    No doubt, he has a very huge vocabulary, like a Hindi professor. But I have noticed 2-3 things about him which i feel need to examine. Firstly, it wouldn't affect the essence of what he wants to convey. It's not necessary to display or show off vocabulary everywhere; every situation doesn't demand it.
    Secondly, he has the privilege of having a big platform (journalist with highest reach). He should have shared others' stories more, but it seems like he lives an imaginative, movie-hero life and occupies all the space sharing more about themselves.
    Thirdly, I noticed he tries to translate English cultural norms and lifestyles into Hindi and their village language. He thinks he is truly communicating with the youth, but in reality, he is not, sir. The major concerns in this country currently are the economy and education with good institutions.If these concerns will be solved, youth will automatically be able to seek gyan. But he tries to impose gyan on the youth by translating,that's irritating.
    Like ye dekho, ye pdho wo pdho, aise behave kro,pyar kro and so and so...
    Since he is privileged now and has reached to well-known people, he thinks it's cool to share migration stories and tell childhood and village stories, romanticizing his learning journey, but it's not. The major population of this country lives in villages, and most of them are underprivileged and have also migration journey.They don't get a chance to tell their stories because people like you got education earlier and took their place. Elite get ok and fine listening those story from a pepole who is in good dress.Sourav Ji need examine himself a bit. Comman pepole don't get herd.No hard feelings, If I am writing all these things, it means I am a serious audience of him.

      Yeah do agree with you but if we are considering the ability and intention to represent , highlight and just show the general masses
      Isnt thats what he and lallantop is credited for doing ??
      like they are literally one of the big faces of media that actually reach out and shows the common masses on such a big platform

    • @RoadSideMonkey
      @RoadSideMonkey Před měsícem +1

      @@rudra5953 I feel Lallantop has a market-oriented nature. Most of its videos are geared towards explaining things, particularly focusing on cultural and entertainment topics. This approach could potentially increase awareness among a larger audience and sometimes help prevent misinformation. However, this isn't the only expectation from a journalistic organization. I'm not saying they don't go into the field, but their presence seems prominent mainly during election times, searching for viral content. Another issue is their tendency to feature their office staff in videos, portraying personal life aspects, which blurs the line between reporting and becoming the story themselves.
      As journalists, their role should be to write and narrate stories rather than becoming the story. Moreover, I have never heard of Lallantop conducting investigative stories, with exceptions aside. A journalistic organization's primary responsibility is to uncover hidden truths, yet Lallantop seems to focus on what is already publicly available. Thus, Lallantop appears more as a content creator rather than a journalistic organization. If you think they have a huge reach, then it's less journalism and more the art of writing clickbait headlines, which is manipulative in nature. While it's acceptable to prioritize social media reach these days, as they grow larger, they should consider moving beyond this approach..Consequently, I don't believe they effectively represent people's interests; instead, they tend to divert attention to imposed so-called knowledge.

    • @aviraltripathi9232
      @aviraltripathi9232 Před měsícem +1

      Sorry but isn't that the point of being well versed in a language. Why is his skill being weaponized against him. Shashi Tharoor who is a Member of parliament and who has constitutional responsibilities of representing people's issues is not ostracized for using over the top language in situations when even simpler language would do. He rarely speaks Malayalam in public even though he represents that area.
      This seems like a very patrician argument.

    • @RoadSideMonkey
      @RoadSideMonkey Před měsícem

      @@aviraltripathi9232 The elite often favor sophisticated language and vocabulary to distinguish themselves as more civilized. I disagree with the unnecessary use of vocabulary, so how does this constitute a patrician argument? Anyway
      I mentioned another point as well. I'm not against vocabulary; I disagree with its unnecessary use sometimes, which can feel irritating. You mentioned Shashi Tharoor; he's not in the communication or content creation business, but Saurav is. So, there's no comparison. If Saurav also writes books or Thesis then no one would point out his vocabulary. However, he is in visual media, where characters and visuals themselves can convey thoughts without words. Therefore, over-vocabulary can seem excessive in visual mediums. Take, for instance, his introduction in the Nana Patekar interview; it was very lengthy, using a huge chunk of words. One might argue that Nana's years of career justify a long introduction. Consider when a biopic is made about someone; it's condensed into 2-3 hours, yet that person lived many years. So, it's important to recognize that everything has its limitations. People will understand it. Don't let personal emotions dictate the entire show because the video is consumed by audiences who should be taken care of.
