A little story for you from my childhood.
As I near our Carnegie performance, I can't help but reflect on those who ignited my passion for music. You can't forget where you come from, ya know? I'd give anything to hear these two play again.
Betty Carol Holland and Mary Daniel’s were the first duo I ever heard, a mother-daughter duo at First Baptist, week in and week out. And would you believe it? They're my family. I was spellbound by them. I must have been all of three when my daddy started taking me to First Baptist to listen to them play. Often, we'd swing by on Sunday nights, always capping it off with ice cream or a stop at the Huddle House. And my grandma Tenna? She'd tune in on the radio from her kitchen, tears streaming down her face as she listened to their heavenly duets.
They had a certain flair that's stuck with me all these years, especially on those days when I'm craving a bit of nostalgia at the piano/organ. Despite playing on some of the finest concert instruments in the world, there are days when I yearn to hear them on that old Wicks Pipe Organ and Baldwin Concert Vertical they mastered over the years.
I wish I could thank them for shaping me the way they did. They played straight from the heart, for the glory of God. I reckon that's where my earliest inklings of devotion to the Lord and my love for music came from. God surely placed them in my life to spark this fire. Little did we know, shortly after hearing them for the first time, I'd stumble upon an old garage piano and start playing without a lick of training. Oh, how I miss and love those two! I'll see you on the other side! ❤️
Hopefully they won’t mind that I shared this with 57,000 of my friends on here. ❤️ Take a listen to this recording by clicking the CZcams link to hear them perform “The Lord's Prayer.”

what a beautiful way to close my evening of waiting for the weather announcers to declare "all clear" for tornado warning. Very thoughtful to have you, Carmeron, share your loving story of these precious ladies and to include for our own listening and appreciating God's gift to your special friends. thank you.

Why is there no video and just sound? Is anyone else having this problem?

There is no video. This is my mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. After my grandmothers died, my mom recorded this from a tape recording. Not the best quality but it got the job done!
