Very good overview. It's 2024 and I've checked 100's of rolls. I've found about 10 1972, 8 of the 2016 commemoration of 50years and about 12 of the 2019 with the jc. Your reporting is spot on with my experience in the, never give up, 5c make a million hobby. 💎
I always pick up a 5c. Still don't have a 72 or flamingo. It's great to rewatch your videos while i noodle. Good luck hunting everyone
2016 $2 mint rolls, thank you. never crossed my mind. Just picked up 4 mint rolls from a coin/stamp shop on line (last of the stock) for $30 per roll.

I’ve been collecting 5 cent coins for about 20 years now, only tipped them all out a few years ago to hopefully find the double header. No luck with that but I did get a couple of clipped planchets and some other choice stuff. $600 is a lot to noodle.

I'm 50now and when I was about 10 I carelessly threw away a 1cent coin as I was walking out the supermarket. Well not giving a care to where it went of course it flew off &hit the most expensive car in the lot.
A brand new Mercedes. Of course the owner picked it up and as he approached me I'm soiling my pants, he hands me the coin and says - never throw away money kid. If you saved all these you'd have a dollar and I can guarantee sometimes in your life your going to wish you had that dollar.
The outcome was that I've never ever thrown away as little as a cent and I've made the effort to pick up any coin I see ever since.

I had a 1923 1/2 penny with tail on both sides. I'm not going to say what I got. it did pay for a new car in 2012. got it in a 5kg bag from a guy who found a big bag in his dead grandfathers shed.

Hi PJ, I am subscribed, but I usually noodle 50 cent, $1 $2. The other day some coins fell out of my jeans as I was washing them and so as I picked up the 1998 5 cent piece I knew it was different. The lip around the edge is VERY pronounced that you can feel and has no milling/edging and the diameter of the coin is about 1 mm less compared to others. Thanks for the informative video and I now know to put it aside 😁

I just recently found a 2007 double header and I am in North East Victoria, Iso they are still out their, also found the 2006 die clash and I found a 2000 off centre miss strike.

About 20 yrs ago i found a 5c coin that was smooth round the edge and raised on both sides and was a little bit smaller than a normal 5c coin wish i still had it but it was stolen when my house got broken into

I’m 14 and I go through 5cent coins looking to make a profit, 3 years ago I found a doubled headed 2007 coin and sold it for $2500 on one of my nans friends site, however they have gone down in value now as so many people have found them. I order $300 a week in 5 cent pieces. Good luck everyone!
When you buy a roll of coins, do you pay the exact amount of how much that entire roll is worth? For example, if you get a 25 packet of $2 coins, do you pay $50 to buy the roll?
