Motion Control - Zathura (2005) - Real vs. Digital

For the film Zathura (2005) a lot of motion control was used for the VFX shots. A mixture of live photography and CGI made it possible for the crew to achieve the shots laid out.
Shot inside of a house that is tumbling in space, a lot of the sequences required the exterior of space to be in the background. This was set up using green/blue screens where that space exterior is to be pictured, while filming the live elements in front of it. A standard practice for motion control shots.
