Dave is the best!! Nowadays everybody talks about global warming, damaged to the ecosystem. We can not wait to have somebody solve the problem, we must solve it ourselves. Dave applies the RRR principle (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) with his work he is a proof that we can be conscious not disposing everything we buy. Probably we think the high end boots are more expensive, but they will last forever. Me and my children prefer to pay more for something that will last years and later can be fixed. Dave has resoled 3 pairs of Asolo boots that we have been worn over the last 12 years. After Dave resoled them, they look like new and probably we will wear them for another 10 years or we can pass them to the next generation.
I have farm, work, and recreational boots, all one type of hiker or another. Throught the years, I've had four resoled at Dave Paige and am now sending in a pair they've done before. The glued on soles seem to last about ten to twelve years before peeling loose. Finding a pair oof boots n clearance is about the same price, as a resloe, but a gamble. Resoling the boot that has molded to your feet is priceless. BONUS..., allows my now vegan lifestyle to keep my old trusty leather boots. LOL !......
