Let's talk about the IH International 1086.
Produced from 1976-81, the 1086 was the mid range model in the IH 86 lineup, smaller brother to the 1486.1586. Big brother to the 786, 886, 986
The 1086 was the main competitor to the John Deere 4430 and subsequent 4440.
Tested 105hp at the draw bar and 125hp at the flywheel.
47,420 were made, about 8000 less that previous previous generation model it replaced, the 1066
Some variations included a 4wd, narrow front and an open station.
A 1086 Would have cost you $35,700 in 1981.
With inflation, that 35,700 would cost you 102,400 in today's dollars.
Average Auction Price $7k. Average Dealer Price $14k
On Craigslist, usually see them in the $10k-$15k range.

Very informative video of the 1086 it is handy for light jobs and has power for heavy field work too ours just turned 10,000 hours and still runs strong !
