That scene with Mark Fowler was really powerful drama.Had to Google to find out more about the character.What an incredible history Eastenders has.
“I’m not some cuddly little old lady,” Peggy once told Archie Mitchell, and she was right. In the early days she was so vicious, nasty and judgemental. The way she treated Mark in the Vic about his HIV diagnosis was particularly horrible.
And how hateful she was about Janet because she had downs syndrome. She kept referring to her as "it" and saying "It should be left at the hospital where it belongs." Truly awful.
Yes, but she also realised her mistakes and apologised to Mark for not understanding HIV and wanted to know more about it. They became very close in the end.

Barbra Windsor, always a great actress, comedy, and drama.......the best landlady in Eastenders :) love her. Such a beautiful classy lady, on and off screen. Always beautiful, you are truly missed Babs RIP :(
