- I had to go out to Messicks to pick up some parts. and I saw this tractor from the roadway. I had to see it up close as it was a very nice looking tractor. it didn't disappoint. I wish I could have gotten inside to see the hours on it or start it up. more points of wear would be able to point out if I could have gotten inside. clutch and brake pedals are good indicators for hours on the machine. anyway I hope you enjoyed the video because I really liked this one.

Mornin Wes from Aus that heater is would be called a thermostart, coil heats up and opens a thermal valve and fuel from the return line dribbles over the hot coil and ignites creating a flame in the manifold makes cold starting alot easier
Thats pretty ingenious honestly
Deere had Them on some of their older models too
I love her enthusiasm when she found it 😂
Nice looking tractor. Someone took some time to restore it and looks like a good job. Thank you, Wes and lovely wife, for taking the time to show it.
Great Field trip Wes.
Flat glass is cheap to replace LOL....
Thanks Much...
That is a fuel fired manifold heater. They worked well
Definitely nice tractor. Thanks show it. Have a great day both of you.
Been watching since you picked up both the big tractors yrs back. Been hooked every since
I remember seeing new ones of these sitting along Route 31 at Frank Rymon & Sons when I was a kid.
That is a very nice tractor thanks for showing us that
Nice vid! I allways loved the new toys line at a dealership
That was a really nice restoration. Rare to find one that complete.
There was one John Deere that was painted gold from the factory. It was worked hard for quite a few years and I believe it was restored. It would be interesting to hear where it is now and if it's still working, what it's condition is now.
Thanks Wes, Theresa. Enjoyed it !
Hey Wes, I’ve been watching your videos for many years all the way back from 2015ish and I’ve gotta say i absolutely love the videos
Therm 354 Perkins are good engines!!
Back in the 80's my Grandfather and Uncle ran White tractors. I guess they had a couple of Oliver's before I was born and my Uncle has Massey's now. I remember riding in the cab with my Uncle on his 2-155.
Yes that is a nice white!! Very cool tractor.
Sounds like the perfect Christmas present for Daddy Cornstar. I’m guessing that he will probably never see it. Too bad for him, seems to be a nice guy.
I had one not near that nice. I Have a 1650 that my pet ..really enjoy your stuff. Found you when I working on a disk bind
Hell of an advertisement Wes! Wouldn't be at all surprised if this isn't sold already since posting the video😂
Those are very good and dependable tractors I still run a 2-110 on our farm to this day to plant soybeans and do hay work
I grew up with international tractors but then worked for a guy with several whites. I liked them and their cabs were as good as any from that time period
Always liked the older White's.
Starting in 87, running for a number of years they were putting the 5.9 Cummin's in the many variations of these size tractors.
Congrats on the new head.
Can't wait till you start putting corn harvest vids.
That White 2-110 is a really nice tractor. The price seems to be in line with what has been done to the tractor. Would be a really nice hay/chore tractor on a lot of farms. Also that Perkins motor in a great motor. They use less fuel than the JD motors of that size and hold up well. They do weep oil/fuel as they age. Just about never see a really dry one.
Hard to beat the Perkins 354
Really nice restoration. Hope the powertrain is as good as the rest of it looks. One of the 1st tractors I got to drive was a 2-135. Had decent grunt for its time. 💪🏼
There had Perkins engines turbo charged, ran a 105 for a long time good old work horse.
Thanks for video I'd buy one if I could afford it. I've got 6 tractors love my Olivers
Looks brand new. You should buy it !
Now thats a nice stove/oven!
The 2-110 is same horsepower as a 4240. The red stripe whites have a nicer cab than the older silver surfers.
Sharp looking tractor.
Sharp looking White tractor, I would farm with it.....being a Case IH fan.
Good content. 👍
I think that would be an excellent rake or silage bag/grain auger tractor
That's an absolutely beautiful 2-110 series 3 too. Wfe vs deere the cabs are similar
They put a 354 Perkins with a turbo in those tractors. When I was in high school back in the late 80s/early 90s I worked for a farmer that had a 2-105 which is the older version of the 2-110. I spent a lot of time in it plowing ,fitting ground, chopping and baling hay and so on. The 2-105 still had the same dash and shifter lever on the floor just like the 1755 Oliver that you used to have. The 2-110 was improved with more horsepower, the shifter was on the side sort of like the John Deere 30 through 60 series and some other improvements. Nothing will beat a Deere in my book!
Good video
That white is really clean I kinda always liked those not very many of them around my area. I could be wrong but I think it has a Perkins not the waukesha
2-110 was produced from 1982-1987. it had a 5.8 perkins 354 ci.
Definitely wouldn't have either with an intake heater, that mix equals 🎇BOOM🎇
The same engine is in my old Jcb tracked excavator boy do you need that diesel heater plug on a cold day works really well
Well the one I used as a kid was open cab with a front loader. But yes I’ve ran 2-110s and the bigger ones as well as the little 4-70. The only difference is the 4 wheel drive between the 2- & 4- we had 4-130s for tillage work and the 4-250 I think all wheel drive beast white had. The only issues that where constant on the tractors was hydraulic pumps would fail and replacing cylinder sleeves. Other then that they where good tractor’s. Just as quite as the sound cab from John Deere. But Deere had heaver tractors then white. So the weight gave them more pull. I don’t have the land or the money or I would get it and do some work.
It's called a thermostart . The wire gave it power to a coil inside and the line supplied diesel to it. Basically making a small fire inside the manifold to make heat.
That is a thermostart cold starting system. When that wire heats the heating element it allows fuel from the injection pump to be inject into the manifold where it’s ignited by the heating element. New Holland uses them our 2550 swather has that system.
Learned something had no idea cat bought Perkins. Had them in our old MF s. Great engine's never had a problem with them.
Hi Wes,Ed from Vermont
Wes I am not familiar with White tractors but the cold weather assist I believe will be diesel fuel. My David Brown tractor uses something very similar.
I'd be interested in seeing you harvest sunflower. I know you don't show them much but it would be educational.
Allis used an intake heater that burned diesel fuel. That's what that looks like. They work good for what they are.
"Yes that tractor @ $$$ is one too take home" Nice!
The white 110 maybe has a flame thrower in the intake . it is a fuel line with a glow plug . designed to only squirt fuel across the hot tip of the glow plug while you turn the engine over .
There a good old tractor
That's a preheat air intake manifold heater. A crappy version of glow-plug. Had one on my old 1980 Massey 184-4. Warm air can help on a cold start.
Be a nice small farm hay tractor
I've heard people call these tractors a "knockoff" of a Sound-Gard cab Deere, which I can kind of see. The body lines are kind of similar as if they were making a cheaper copy of the 4240/4250 or similar.
Ya thats definitely a perkins engine!
👍👍
Checking out a WiFE with the wife, Nice.
Great Vid🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽👍👍👍👍👍👍
I was told the 110 is a 2105 with 2135 rear ends
Lord Muck you need to educate your friend Wesley about how a thermostart heater plug works and I was screaming Perkins at the screen when I saw the injector pump on its end behind the air con pump
do you know anything about the buda engines ? my grandfather 's cockshutt tractor had one in it. great vid's . don't ever stop
Thumbs up
White/Oliver got a lot of milage out of that design. The basic setup of that tractor goes all the way back to the Oliver Hart Parr 70 Row Crop from 1935.
was the repair done with two part clear epoxy then shaped with a flap disc?
That WEF is pretty much brand new tractor in old fashion style.
I bet that good fanatic would make a transaction in heartbeat for this beauty.
I always did like the them. Im fact I still an oliver 1650 diesel.
And Minneapolis moline family along with Oliver and cachet any way it’s a nice tractor for sum one
Its a lot cheaper to replace the Wite glass than the sound guard glass
You gotta be joking. So that would make an ol Case 2090 50K with an overhaul now. Well I'll be darned
Old whites aren't bad but expensive to fix lol
Hay lonely that could be Williams first tractor you could show him the ropes
diesel fuel warmer on the intake
I guess i owe you commission if this one sells?
Good one Neil....
Plus, big tractor power. LOL@@m9ovich785
Early 80s white. Has a Perkins engine. It's all metal hood and side panels. We have a 100 white. Hate the transmission in them. Can't shift gears on the fly.
I didn't know that Cat bought out Perkins. How long ago?
Ford used them ,it sprayer diesel fuel ,against the glow plug ,to start
was that a John Deere glass fuel filter on the white or were they universal during the 70's and 80's I have only seen them on John Deere that's why I'm asking
my White 2-70 uses the same glass-box filter as my JD 4430.
Im not a WFE guy. But thatba nice tractor
believe I saw this for sale a couple months ago, was asking 30 grand
"yes heads had plastic welding"!
Wes I know someone who Farms with white farm equipment.
What does a new corn head really go for?
$175-200k depending on options for a twelve row folding head
Messicks wants 28900 with 6189 hours
Just ask Niel from Messicks he will tell you anything aftermarket is not any good!! What a good company man!
We stock and sell aftermarket parts. 👍 they have their place.
Weird cab lol it's the same as a sound guard without the round glass
Wes the whites were a great tractor. They just had piss poor marketing.
I’ll pass I’ll keep my 4240 for my rake tractor been doing it for 25 years
its a glow plug
Yes but supplied with diesel.
thats a perkins
Haha never liked the weird cab???? As a non JD or White guy I'd have to say I thought the Sound Guard and these White Cabs were pretty similar I figured the JD guys would complain they copied Deere rather than say they were weird lol
Those were basically a Oliver 1955 with a newer cab and sheet metal. They were good tractors too bad white/Oliver company didn't survive! The 1980's Hurt a lot of ag equipment companies.
White bought Oliver and MM in 1969 and ended the brands in 1974. After that they were White.
And a Perkins instead of the 310 waukesha
Comment
Call me crazy but Oliver would of crushed Johndeere
Sounds like the perfect Christmas present for Daddy Cornstar. I’m guessing that he will probably never see it. Too bad for him, seems to be a nice guy.
