I'm hoping we get to know the FINAL cost! I would love to do this to my house but have NO IDEA how much it would be! Obviously, I know they're different in different areas of the US, the labor is the most costly (which you guys did on your own), but I just mean what it cost for the entire project as YOU GUYS did it!

How fun! A perfect project for you two and also for the end of winter and beginning of spring! I am so excited to watch this transformation. You two will knock it out of the park I know. How lucky for the new bride and groom. I'm thrilled for them and glad they asked you to do this. You two are a fabulous team!
Do they want that small wall division wall as you enter the front door...........perhaps if they like the open concept they might. It would give more space for a large wrap around sectional or even half that wall down with wood slats for decor but let the light in. It would be rustic yet not so closed off and let some privacy yet you could see through it as well. I can't think of the correct words but I am sure you know what I mean. It could be the same color as a wood beam on the ceiling or mantle.
In the back hall a nice full length storage closet would be nice or retain the bottom and a couple shelves and another storage cabinet above those up high to the ceiling........lots of storage yet shelves for showing some decor if she liked.

Oh, it’s such a cute little house. Something I would love to see you guys do is stacked cabinets in the kitchen instead of just closing in the space above the cabinets. I understand if budget doesn’t allow. We have space above our cabinets, too, and I would love to see someone with experience do that kind of reno. Anyway, however you decide I know it’s going to be so beautiful and homey for the newly weds!💜
That would be a great idea! But yea trying to keep somewhat of a tight budget😊

I would make that fireplace the focal point. Put faux stone all around it and extend it up to that beautiful height of that ceiling. Then add wood beam floating mantle to it.

I hope they are PAYING you for this reno. The only thing that jumps out at me is the little divider wall at the front door entrance. I would remove it. The division of spaces can be accomplished by the arrangement of the sectional/furniture.

What a cute cozy house. I know you two will do a great job as always. Fireplace will be the focal point so a nice mantel. Removing tiles and new flooring. Kitchen please add outlet behind the refrigerator and under cabinet lightening since there isn't a window. Small farm house style sink and stone countertops and backsplash will be beautiful. Nice size master. Green and blue will be good colors for this house. Thanks for our new adventure. Stay warm.

The tile looks like it's in good condition. Perhaps you could paint a pattern (similar to your laundry room floor pattern) on the guest bathroom floor tile.

I would make the fireplace wall a shiplap or white-washed brick wall.
I love these kinds of videos!! In my opinion I’d try to get rid of the wall by the front door to open up the living room more, then in the kitchen I’d open up the wall by the counter put like a window there to open up the kitchen and living room lol hope that makes sense! Anyways I can’t wait to see the whole process!
Looking forward to seeing the posts. My suggestions for the kitchen - remove the existing Island, build cabinets on that side of the wall, have the refriederator moved to that wall, and extend the cabinet where the fridge is now. Kitchen storage is important, maybe do a pull-out pantry on the cabinets around the fridge. Then a small work Island for the center, maybe with a butcherblock work surface. Fireplace - build up the fireplace to the ceiling, it will be a great focal point when you walk in, add a false beam closer to the window, it will balance the room, and eventually add cabinets and shelves to frame the Fireplace. Center the seating around the fireplace with the opening to the dining area. Build the bench for storage maybe some pullout drawers for easy access. One can never have enough storage in a home. Master bedroom the bathroom door needs to go for a better design at the bed. A barn door style for now? For the closet, I suggest a build-in, as time goes by. Hall Bathroom - for now, deep-clean the tile paint it white, and stave the floor. For all the cabinets, use drawers, it will be wonderful in the long run. I saw CZcams posts where they built cabinets within hours, it may be a way to go.
It is a blessing to be a blessing! For the fireplace, what about building it out and up to the ceiling so it looks like one big "structure". For the area at the end of the hallway, if they don't need the additional storage, maybe three or four shelves. Based on how well the flip house turned out and how wonderful your own house is, I'm sure this project will be great!

Definitely take the fireplace all the way up to the ceiling to take advatange of the height. It will make the room look so much bigger. Maybe some shiplap? And I would add another wood beam in the center as well.

Love this house. Can't wait to see it redone. Not sure if you watch Diu Wife or not but she's done a few beautiful kitchens. Some with dark blue and dark green. Just for inspiration.
Here’s my 2 cents worth 😊. The floor-to-ceiling wall just to make an “entryway” seems silly. Expand it to a closet, or turn it into a more welcoming half wall. I’m excited to see what you do with this house!
Only 6 weeks? Insane! Lol. It would be a lot to even just decorate it in 6 weeks, let alone renovate it! But if anyone can do it, you two can. Can Jaylon's family help provide labor. Many hands make light work.
I would take out that short cabinet in the hallway, and make a closet for vacuum cleaner, or linen closet, or bookshelves.

Can't wait to watch this. An idea for the fireplace would be to put in a chunky beam as a mantle & then make a fire surround by sticking on brick slips & doing a German schmear over them. It's a great way to do a very fast makeover & will give the rustic farmhouse look x

I think you should relocate the fridge with the pantry cabinet and remove the wall beside the island and open the kitchen
You can do a pantryat the end of the hall where the small cabinet
And for the bathroom do some floating vanity and some floating shelf underneath it

Yay! Another whole house...so fun! Would love to see the small wall at the front door get taken out, the fireplace would look great if you did wood trim feature to the ceiling and paint it the same color as the kitchen cabinets so they tie together.... definitely dark wood mantle. One more thing would be to add somewhat of a walk-in pantry or cabinets or something in the laundry area. Can't wait to see what you come up with!!!

I'm fairly new to your channel, but I binge watched many videos and have enjoyed seeing your projects and the way you and your husband work together. 12 in cabinets on top of existing cabinets would be great for storage. Whatever you decide, I look forward to seeing
I would maybe build a half wall out from the edge of the living room/hallway wall and put vertical wooden slat screen on top to give a more of a 'room' feel and style. Maybe a bit of a challenge due to the pitch of the roof but it would look good.

What a great project! Ya'll will turn this house into a home for them in no time. We had a peninsula, like that one, in our kitchen and took it out for an island. It is so much nicer to be able to walk around the island. It will be a beautiful transformation!!

Thinking of the fireplace… framing it out and doing either horizontal shiplap or a chevron shiplap pattern. Paint the black for a refresh. Add a beautiful wood mantle and tile hearth.
Chevron is nice but it’s about at he end of it’s life.
