Whats funny is most of those funny cars and dragsters only use half that hp. I mean at 8000 hp they were going around 300 to 320 mph. Now at a couple mph faster and pushing 11,000 hp. Just for 10 mph faster. And at some tracks they won't allow those type of hot rods to do the full 1/4 because they are too fast and don't have enough stopping distance at the end. So what good is making 11,000 hp? They should make a new rule for hp. Nothing more than 5000 hp on motor but no more than 8000 hp with nitrous. So the cars have enough stopping distance. And still running in the high 3s low 4s in the full 1/4 mile. And still going around 300 or so mph. Anything faster should be on the salt flats
