Its almost like when you try to do "shock-jockery" or "real radio" you have to be an authentic person who actually believes in airing dirty laundry out on the air honestly. It's why I love O&A, and why when you start listening to actually talented radio personalities, you realize how downright useless and untalented most people in sports radio are (even millionaires like Francesca).

I miss the old days of not wanting to leave my car to go into my college classes because I wanted to hear Mike and Mad Dog's opening monologue to the previous night's Mets game or Knicks playoff game with the Heat. Sports talk radio back then was must-listen.

Same. I think that the somewhat national publicity he got last season for implying the Tampa Rays were somehow cheating, was the switch that flipped. It's almost like he's put on a fake, shock-jock wanna be Howard/O&A personality. All he does on air now is scream, whine, etc... he used to be so level headed, but now with Tiki as a partner you can't have two guys like that. It's almost like he's trying to be the new Carton, only with a ton of sports knowledge.

What's worse, though, is how the conversation continued with the listeners and Timi and others. i tuned in every 30 minutes or so until 4 and it was the worst radio and least compelling conversation I ever heard on this station. shame on everyone at WFAN this afternoon.
The quality at WFAN has deteriorated so much the last the last decade, across the board. It's nothing like it was from inception into the 20-teens.
