- With the rise in the number of public buses, the lives of auto drivers in Dimapur have become hard. As a result the auto drivers are facing a difficult time to earn sufficient money to run their family. The auto drivers of Dimapur 4th Mile expressed resentment over the issue in front of NLTV. They cited that increase of buses have taken an adverse effect on their trade and they are unable to find adequate passengers on a daily basis to carry out their business

Auto fare in Dimapur is higher than the flight ticket!! The Govt should introduce more buses in every corner of the town which is safer and cheaper for commuters. It's high time that auto drivers should taste their own medicine.
Every where in the world people demand more public transport in Nagaland river runs in opposite direction. Public buses are cheaper in fare, more environment friendly, less traffic on roads and reduces auto drivers dictates as other choice is there.

My experience:From purana bazar auto stand till noton basti,they charged 250.So I crossed the road took a line auto for 10rs till Burma camp junction.from hotel senti junction till noton basti 50rs town trip.total 60rs.Even if they charged 150rs I could have agreed since I was in hurry but 250(no chance).Our fellow auto drivers should also understand the plight of the public regardless of the problems faced by them too.For me,if they can't adjust the fare of the auto then bus services should be increased for the common public.

Why public use bus instead of Auto because they dont charge fix rate they charge more then the actual rate .
So public you can give complaint and his licence should be cancelled .
The rate should be fixed by the auto union chairman .
But it's public choice weather they use auto or bus .
He says he can't manage family but what about public will they will be able to manage family if the auto fair is hig .

We need more city bus, so common public doesn't have to deal with rampant unruly fares.
They charge 70 to 80 rupees in one Kilometre distance whereas in buses they charge only 10 to 20 rupees... So who will hire auto and will love to travel in auto...even if its you or me then we will definitely travel in buses too

Hello auto drivers, public need more buses because most commuters cannot afford the exorbitant rate you auto walas charge even for short distance trips, not to mention the gunda attitude of auto drivers at central jail junction and railway junction..understand that there are many passengers who earn even less than half of what you earn..NST must introduce at least 10 more buses to ply between Dimapur to Chumu/4th mile/5th mile..the more bus there is, the more frequent the trip which will encourage public to travel by bus, especially students and daily work goers...more revenue for nst, more safety, less traffic
Your family and your children education is solely responsible to you. Your earning should not be at the cost of others, every one is doing their own business.
First of all the auto driver himself is not wearing uniform and trying to correct others..

Reduced auto here Dimapur, they caused lots of traffic, reckless driving, charging kushi kushi fare, instead introduced buses which is more affordable plus less chaos in traffic. Our govt has to do something regarding this matter ASAP.

Their concern should be addressed if the buses are coming from Assam, however there shouldn't be any objections or hurtles if someone from within state/govt. introduce cheaper means of public transport because auto has became overcrowded in dimapur n moreover not everyone can effort auto fair which is quite expensive these days considering the fact that it cost you at least 200 RS just to go to town even if you are living within 1 or 2 km parameters from the main town.
In short let's stop acting rich🤣💔 and admit that dimapur is in need of cheaper mode for public transportation and I considere bus service will be most convenient one.

We need good competition. I think for a few years Auto have been dominant and hence the rates were beyond the reach of a common man sometimes. So this will benefit a common man.

Firstly all auto driver's should know that auto's are mainly for within cities and is not allowed to transport passenger from district to district..
Secondly we public should be wise enough while giving our comments, imagine just for one auto driver the whole village/town citizens can not be put into suffer.... auto's can easily ply within cities for their livelihood .....

Yesterday one auto driver charged me 150 rupees from Burma camp to Purana bazaar which was 1 - 1.5kms . Isn't it too much fare. Auto drivers are very khushi mushi. Nagaland govt. Should deploy more city buses 🚌 and two wheeler taxi for public convenience

Even the auto drivers themselves will want cheaper means of transport when they go out of their area. Cheaper means of transportation is for thr good of all.
The auto driver should not focus only about one side of the coin. He should also think of the cheapest & accessible means of transportation. Driving auto is not the only option for living, if they cannot earn enough. (Note : Everybody search for a job for living) ✌️

There's nothing to be Discontent dear chutias. It serves them right. More buses needed. Khushi khushi and high Auto fare, doesn't follow traffic rules, always making traffic jam. Buses should be preferred for more safety to public and saving fuel.

I disagree bcoz of auto fare we can't safe money,its very high so it will be better if their are more public buses like in kohima, every state have public buses bt why the govt doesn't issues public buses in dimapur, please we public also suffer alot becoz of the high auto fare.
I believe buses will benefit the mass public as not all can afford auto .. some are poorer than auto drivers.. and auto drivers are not the only ones making a living.. everyone does..
Make an auto fare reasonable than only this issue will be solve. As of now auto fare is sky rockecting which makes common people too expensive.
