The story at 6:55 is chilling. She told the restaurant owner she was on the pill, then told him she was pregnant so he'd marry her, and then she "had a miscarriage". Which I'm guessing was either an abortion or she was never pregnant at all. Such a huge lie is psychopath level, way above the more ordinary scams.
Thanks! This was a very helpful and useful video. I think it's good to show expats how they can save money in Pattaya. You do it by saving us money on renting condos and now you are showing us where to buy quality food at amazing prices. **AND** you show us how to avoid being burned by the bargirls. You're like the uncle I wish I had (even though I'm older than you!). This is great and thank you very much!!!
If a girl asks if you're seeing other girls tell her it's really not your business or tell her yes I'm seeing other girls. Never lie and don't tell someone your exclusive if you don't mean it. You're just asking for trouble if you lie. If someone tries to scam you just play along with it until the point where you pull out your wallet. Don't do it. The stories are always entertaining.
I remember the girl who used to clean my room, I went with her a few times and she told me about her American boyfriend who spoke Thai and always went only with her and soon he was coming back on holiday and they were going to get married one day, all that stuff.
Well one evening whilst walking down MIT I saw her, with the boyfriend, now she was only small and slim, he on the other hand was tall and about 20 stone + I kid you not ! I never made eye contact and we just passed as strangers. When she restarted work "she had taken time off, to see him" she said thank you for not saying hello or waving kind of thing, I said I did not think it would be appropriate, but then mentioned the size of him, fat fat fat ! Her answer was "I have to think of babies" that she had 2 of back home. So much for love !
I like that its not just facts about Pattaya but also insight into human behavior on a deeper level in this particular arena.
Many of these tricks are used by women generally, not just Thai women.

I have seen the fake pregnancy scam used by western women also 😬-we tend to give western women the benefit of the doubt but there are a lot of guys out there raising kids thinking that they are theirs but in truth are not genetically related 🤔 😬

I enjoy these videos so much. Your voice is very soothing and you're great with the videography and capturing the feel of just strolling around Pattaya. The topics are usually somewhat obvious to Thailand vets, but for whatever reason i still find it interesting to hear about bar girl's antics/guys getting scammed/sick buffalos/gold reselling and stuff.

My naive life in the USA did not prepare me for the difficult lives of girls and women in countries such as Thailand (and all over the world as well). As much as I might want to help any one of those girls, I realize I am not worldly enough to adequately protect myself with the values and beliefs I grew up with. Instead, I would be "EZ" pickin's for girls with so much hard living in their past. So, I am taking your advice VERY seriously for my own safety. Thank you for this eye opener. But Pier 21 looks like a great place to eat for a single guy like me. Thx.

Nice video! I watched it yesterday and went to the foodcourt today for the first time. 42 baht for a delicious meal. And i tried a fruit smoothie voor 40 baht. Although it was a long ride from Jomtien, it was totally worth it. I went many times to Terminal 21 in Bangkok, but this was my first time in Pattaya to go there.
And I love to hear the stories about the bargirls. I am together with a Thai woman for 17 years, but I hear a lot of new things in this video. Keep up the good work.

The food court is not only cheap but very good food. There is a very good selection there too. Forget the fancy restaurants and head to the food court.

Hi Phil...another great vid! Love always to hear you're voice it really calms me down..you should make a meditation video 555. I been coming to Thailand for 27 years now and seen and hear it all and to be honest i have fallen for some of the tricks in the beginning. I could write a book about these girls but still coming back and love it, just remember never fall in love and i never take a girl to my hotelroom, always in her room ore short time room... saves a lot off hustle! Keep up the good work!

I always stay in North Pattaya and have been going to Terminal 21 in Pattaya ever since they opened and never new of the cheap prices up in the food court. Great advice. I totally agree, don’t go to Pattaya to fall in love, it may happen anyways, but to go looking sets you up for a huge fall.

The Food Court in Terminal 21 Asok, Bangkok is very cheap also, I've eaten there many times. They are small serves though.
Maybe I'm getting and cynical but I've found through my life that people who are faithful to their partner are very few, both male and female.

That's true, but a good girl regular that is open to me seeing others from time to time works well. Truth be told, in my experience, Thai ladies are ok with your adventures if you are just honest. My Reg is perfectly OK with me getting a massage with a happy ending. I tell her where I'm going. She's gone and watched while she played. That works for me.

@@keithd1219 Great idea. I did that my first trip. I hit BKK, Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket, Krabi in a month. Remember the 3 day rule. Don't have a lady for more than 3 days and don't stay in any hotel for 3 days. Trust me, it will keep every place you stay new with new surroundings. I've done this for the past 3 trips. Plan works well for me. Think about taking the ferry from Phuket to Krabi via Phi Phi. Just don't get stuck in a typhoon like I almost did 4 years ago. I was the last boat to leave before they shut it all down. Get a Thai Cupid account. Have a lady set up in each city. You will get a tour guide for a night or two if you want. Just don't go meet their parents!! Learn the most basic of Thai. They will think you have a Thai wife and won't play games with you. Get a money belt and keep all your money in it. That way you won't forget it in a safe. Don't ask me how I learned this. Carry a COPY of your passport on you. Pay for one drink at a time. Gosh, so many tips I can share. Remember, it's a movie. Don't get involved with a damn thing. I've seen some shit go down and nope, I wasn't going to play hero. Whatever you do........DON"T FALL IN LOVE WITH A BARGIRL or I will hunt you down and slap you silly. :)

Terminal 21 is my go to place it's great . Though, in America we pay directly to vendor over there you have to load this card for money to use to pay it was interesting experience. I love your story and advice I learn a lot I hope i can apply when i get back to Pattaya hehe. Keep doing what do thanks.
I have only met one Thai lady who I thought was truly honest. She was married to Stan from Cheers bar on Soi 13. She was one of the most kind hearted person I have ever met. Unfortunately, she is the ONLY Thai woman who I could say I could trust

I think love is almost like an incurable disease for some people. Looking back at my life, glad I never did. Probably saved me from heartache. I like wandering around T21. Often eat at T21 Bangkok. Also ate a few times at the food court in Cent Fest mall until it moved nearer to Beach Road then prices went up about 50%.

True about hotel staff spying on you, for your favorite bargirl who just had to take a quick trip to the family in Esan. One day I could feel something strange when I went out into the nightlife alone, suddenly I turned around and behind me was an employee of my hotel who hurried back.

when i was single i would stay at pattaya... a diferent woman each night, i even had 2 or 3 women with me all night.... living the dream... pay them the next morning, if they gave good service i would give a little extra for taxi money......... on my return to australia i would go to the local club / night club... the ladies would walk up to me and ask me to buy them a drink... then they go to the next man etc.... it was very frustrating.. so i never bought them drinks and could not wait to return to thailand.... the bar girls in thailand wanted your money and i was happy to pay them..... i ended up getting married to a thai lady and very happy

I got a prenup in Thailand BEFORE marrying. I bought an American lawyer in Bangkok for me and a Thai lawyer for her. As the years added up she got an increasing amount of my estate. If she planned to grab&go she would have been disappointed with the haul. Nothing's bullet-proof though and this was 15 years ago. Things are still wonderful, best decision I ever made. Also, she's saved me FAR more than I spent, sinsot inclusive.
For sinsot, I went on small monthly payments - again she could not grab&go if that was her intention. Trust but verify, politely.
Just never get married, period! Spit out that Blue Pill, and enjoy your freedom and as many ladies as you want with no strings attached ...

No matter what background you came from it doesn't justify lies, trickery, deceit , and ruining the life of someone else. Not that I pity a fool, but love, compassion, kindness, goodness are qualities with no price tag, no matter how poor you are you can afford it! They're not qualities reserved only for the wealthy.
Yes the years of having to survive on their wits have turned most of the bar girls cold and hard and ruthless. Of course you can't blame them for becoming that way when you see where they've come from. I've had a lot of experience with filipinas and you find the same traits in many of them because they've had to endure similar circumstances. You can find a diamond in the rough every now and then...but they are few and far between sadly. And when you see the old familiar signs appearing - run. Because if you don't that girl will suck you dry with not an ounce compassion.
She will cry and wail and assure you that she loves you so much. But you can't afford to fall for the crocodile tears. You got to think about number 1.
