Enjoy this Ode to Billy! Playlist of my songs here: czcams.com/play/PL7vOu0c9nrr9uiY4Tw0Y8HFsSjCBtlMiZ.html God Of War Ragnarok song coming very soon!!
i love the switch from "nothing can pacify me" to "nothing will pacify me" it basically shows how Butcher was so angry that nothing could ever pacify him, and then after Becca's death, he's even more rageful, and with the addition of temp V he feels like he's unstoppable
It does! I love how the title itself depicts something normally wonderful but instead it's just adrenaline and rage, and also destructive for him, since he literally hates the kind of person he's become - superhumans.
That was diabolical! Perfectly teeters on the line between "Yeah, I've had enough, and I'm going get some brutal justice!" and "Um. . . you know. . . maybe I'm the bad guy here."
Your vocal abilities have gotten better and better with each new song. I love how much more gutteral and intense your voice is on songs like this and Scarlet Sky in particular. Can't wait for that GoW Ragnarok song!
I've never seen any of The Boys, but even so, I get a clear impression of Karl Urban's character (Butcher?)'s arc & emotions; this is an effective song! Also, you mentioned getting some training for metal vocals, and I think it's shone through in this one. It's a damn good one!
I really liked this growing frenzy in the verse, turning into an aggressive, melancholic and driving chorus. Reminded me Binary Divide of yours in certain ways, but less heavy and more epic. Once again, great job, Gav! 👏 P.S.: Now I'm waiting for Homelander song ;)
It's a comic book series adaptation but a really good one! Truly elevates many characters above & beyond their comic counterparts and successfully expands on modern time issues (such as Info wars, social media, internet propaganda, fake news etc) Its gory and violent at times but give it a try!
@@paulenan9636 I would say government rather than capitalism. Capitalism doesn't allow or disallow murder or unjustified killing, that's the government's territory, as with most things in the show. It's been a while since I've watched, so there may be some aspect that you can actually attribute to capitalism that I forgot.
This is just what I need after far too short a night facing a full day of work yet to get my blood running. Coffee wasn't doing it. This song, I suddenly feel energized.
No kidding. Normally I get to go home early on Friday as soon as the check run's done (I work in accounts payable) but I've been moving in mud all day. After hearing this on full blast in my headphones, I can already taste the burger on the way to my weekend.
Great, amazing song. "I'm David coming back to crack the teeth of a perfect smile" Fun fact - Antony Starr (Homelander) once played David in "Xena: warrior princess". You know, that common boy, who defeats mighty invincible Goliath. Ironic. :)
Didn't watch the show yet, but this song really seems to show all about the character from what i've seen about him. It's aggressive, it sounds like a classic and it just rocks in general ! Cheers from Brazil lad, take care :>
I honestly can't describe how much i vibe with this song. Whenever i get too angry in life, i just put on this song and go punch a punching bag for like 10 minutes and then i feel amazing afterwards. Gav you're such a legend with your music. Big love from here ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am watching this video for the 4th time... Can't get saturated. Indeed, Gav succeeded in expressing Butcher's rage and anger boiling over years of hatred to sups who ruined his life. Damn, I really like this song!
I have been listening to this for over 5 hours at this point on loop. It's perfect song for rage. It's also oddly good for sadness. Thanks Gavin, Your song is helping me write a fantasy novel.
There is a line between a writer dropping F-bombs to be gratuitous, and the writer channeling the character's language to their pen, and this song is the latter.
That's the perfect name for this band, it's the most eclectic, amazing music that I have heard, so diversified, I thought it was different bands, you rock!
This seem like it takes quite a bit of developed talent and a massive amount of work to get everything to this standard. Very impressed and it has been replayed to many times to count!
Wow, this song is nothing short of amazing 🤘🏻 Are you planning to create songs based on HotD? I couldn't say how many times I've played your GoT songs on a loop 😂
The look of glee and rage right before Billy hands out an ass-whooping is just so perfect. He owns that role the way RDJ owns the Ironman character - you just can't beat it :)
Enjoy this Ode to Billy!

God Of War Ragnarok song coming very soon!!
What can I say other than "Diabolical" 😉😈😈😈
i love the switch from "nothing can pacify me" to "nothing will pacify me"
it basically shows how Butcher was so angry that nothing could ever pacify him, and then after Becca's death, he's even more rageful, and with the addition of temp V he feels like he's unstoppable
A perfect song for butcher, fits him so well. You’ve done it again!
remember when he was just a one dimensional idiot in the comic?
Strongly disagree. Butcher is into Spice Girls.
@@MarshalLtd He has good taste
It does! I love how the title itself depicts something normally wonderful but instead it's just adrenaline and rage, and also destructive for him, since he literally hates the kind of person he's become - superhumans.
I always admired how you kept unneeded swear words out of yer songs, and using it perfectly when you do have to use it.
I find that F bombs have more impact when they are rare, haha
To be fair, I can't imagine a song about Butcher without a single curse word. So, yeah, I agree that it was absolutely fitting here.
I never realized I don't think I have ever heard him swear until it happened here. Perfectly used!
@@wolfsong7823 He swore in the little clip he did once to address the weirdos who think his singing is fake, but that's not really the same.
@@blarg2429 also he swore in the mad max song too
I must say it's quite jarring going from Ode to Fury to this song. You're crazy talented dude.
Very different songs about a similar theme, haha
Fitting because the boys has jarringly different themes from GoW. You hit the nail on the head, as a saying goes where I'm from
this song is when kratos was young, and ode to fury is when he is older, and wiser.
This show is perfect.
Karl Urban as Butcher is perfect.
This song is perfect.
It's perfect. perfect. Down to the last, minute detail.
It's Perfect, just the way it is. Sorry, wrong song.
This comment is perfect.
S3 finale was whack, tho.
wait a fucking minute, i remember that guy from Almost Human
i guess this means i gotta check out what the deal is with The Boys
Already heard it on spotify an hour ago, it's f*cking awesome Gav!
We need more songs like this from you, you absolutely rock this style dude!
same
You mean diabolical
For some reason, it feels like one of your older songs, it rocks! 🤟
It's got a very similar feel to Hell to Pay!
@@NordicRest Exactly!
I was thinking more Hammers In My Head or Fistful of Concrete
@@NordicRest Was thinking just exactly the same thing. Hell to Pay, or even Road Rage. Just a good, hardcore rocker.
Yeah, the riffs feel like the songs everybody else is mentions, I think Gav has got a musical style
That was diabolical!
Perfectly teeters on the line between "Yeah, I've had enough, and I'm going get some brutal justice!" and "Um. . . you know. . . maybe I'm the bad guy here."
This was the perfect combination of video editing and music composition. Butcher’s unhinged smile matching up with the pre chorus gave me chills.
Amazing work as usual, friend! 🤘🖤
I can honestly feel the anger in the lyrics, perfectly fits Butcher.
Viking Muchaaa..
A blind, deaf, comatose lobotomy patient could feel his anger.
@@derekquigley5816 I'm pretty sure that's what Darth Baras said in SWTOR.
@turtlemythic1251 That's right. I couldn't resist making that joke because the line fits Butcher perfectly.
Butcher is Like GUTS from berserk. In a world full of heroes & monsters the scariest thing is a bloody unhinged *Man*
This song is fucking diabolical, mate. Well done.
I was looking for this kind of comment :) like
Butcher made a Google account to comment this
I love the moment when I listen to a random song and suddenly have a full backstory for my next DND character in my mind.
Never thought you’d do a song for The Boys, but this…this is astounding!
Diabolical, one could say?
@@mr.cypher604 I suppose so yes
@@mr.cypher604 Yup.Still remember him in Doom.

Thank you! I've been practicing harder singing and did some training to make sure I don't damage my voice with it :)

For Homelander - it would need to be an entire album, you're not fitting his ego in otherwise
Turns out I have absolutely no idea what The Boys is about but the song slaps 🥲
A great Amazon Prime Series.

Its gory and violent at times but give it a try!
A superhero series that is not about superhereos but about the failings of capitalism. And lots of gore and immature jokes.
It is pretty dope.
I'm glad you asked because I was wondering, too!
@@paulenan9636 I would say government rather than capitalism.

Absolutely love the David & Goliath references at the beginning and ending of the song; holy shit that's cool
Delighted to play a small part in this, thanks dude 🤘
You rocked it!
Let's have a Dave appreciation thread. Fucking beautiful guitar solo. An amazing song as always, Gav.

Profanity is an art, and needs to be deployed well.
This is a precision strike.
A profound, perfectly placed perpetration of precision profanity. Practically prime.
I had to look up what “theriac” Was a very fitting and unique choice of word well done as always
Im a simple man, I see a MiracleOfSound video, I click.
Ohh perfect song, perfect fandom, perfect singer to pull this thing off! Another master piece! Keep it up and happy weekend 🎉❤
Honestly would love to see your other takes at different characters from this show. Because this one is truly awesome.
... now I'm morbidly curious what the Deep's song would sound like.

I LOVE the energy in this song, the gruff and gritty vocals match it perfectly as well.
Thanks for my new song to keep on repeat all week! 👍👍👍
Some similarities here to Fistful of Concrete. Little more melodic here though. Love it!
Going straight into the workout playlists, great Work as always Gavin perfect headbanger for Butch! 👍💜
This song ought to win the Grammy for Song of the Year. The more I listen to it, the more I like it, and I liked it plenty on the first listen!
Just boosting the video in the eyes of the algorithm, don't mind me.

I've always thought that Sabaton is the non plus ultra of metal, BUT THIS SONG IS THE KING OF MUSIC!
***SUPERHUMAN***
Best superhero show of the last few years and the song fits it perfectly.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
There is a line between a writer dropping F-bombs to be gratuitous, and the writer channeling the character's language to their pen, and this song is the latter.
Each new Miracle of Sound song elicits a Karl Urban grin. You know the one.
between the music itself and the clips it's beyond perfect. absolute perfect lines for each clip. great job
This roooooocks! And mr Hynes rocked that solo! 👏👏👏👏
This song gets better every time I hit replay.
