I really want to know why she plugs a nostril during the chorus. I imagine it’s for tonal quality but I’ve never seen anyone do that, interesting.
I think it was part of her dancing, holding one nostiral doen't really change your voice, so it's just an elberate dance move - that makes it all the more awsome in my mind

(Live on KEXP) 9.2.24 nissenenmondai (i had nothing to with the creation of that poster, by the way) beat them all to it, i feel. all very 70's\80's disco pop. my appreciation for disco doesn't traverse the madam, i was vary very very drunk admission....these futurists, after they have had an Asiatic flick thru the pop cultural wasteland of the west....might produce something to dig.................. pity the guys at KEXP didn't dust down AMT or Guitar Wolf....

(Live on KEXP)’ 1345pm 9.2.24 what of 'em? it's all harking back to their bedroom pop record collections featuring such luminaries as duran duran duran and nick heywood.... anyhow, after, as i say, the bands form asia have filtered thru the vast wasteland of western pop culture - there's a group of people referencing any era, jumping about in any tokyo park of a summer evening, feigning to be their fav musicians... some make it to our tv sets others don't... we can ask ourselves, those in the crumbling west: how horrendous were we all those years ago? ...and if there's no reply we can all breathe a sigh of relief and thank the stars we got away with it... still some heavy rockers with hawkwind and motorhead on their mind would be interesting. take it away il duce!!!

It would seem that their first language isnt english, so youre having a tough time understanding them due to their accent. Many english artists dont sing clearly. Do you question them the same way?
This song seems to be about women, specifically asian women, denying the fetishization they get just by being themselves. “Im just a woman”, etc.
At least thats my take as a white western male.
