Last year I mixed med and large frames together and to my surprise the made honey on the bottoms of the med frames. It made a mess but the fresh honey comb was enjoyed by all the grand kids.
I've done the same thing...medium frame in deep box...forgot about it. Felt stupid....kept going. We've all learned enough from your videos to make up for it! Thanks!!
I've had to leave smaller frames in larger boxes before, and a couple times had to leave them with a frame or two less than they were suppose to have. All because I simply didn't have anything to replace with. Can only do what you're able to do and the bees will adapt. No worries!
Yep, lifted a frame out of a two deep box only to find I had to keep going as I had forgot a frame in the lower box, and so they just continued the comb from the frame in the upper box into the space below where the missing one was, real neatly too😂, some days I'm not the brightest.
We had a similar issue, left one frame out, they built a huge pad of comb filled with brood, as it was a swarm and we wanted them to build the colony we have left it until the brood emerges and then we'll sort it. It's a learning curve we don't do that again

Leave it until the weather cools and you get a brood break. Then you can slip it out.

Glad I'm not the only one that messes up.... Thanks for sharing. :)
