Hi, Marss, this is a great video, but this implies that any Mexican tournament with Dabuz isnât as good. Iâd have to respectfully disagree, as Dabuz is the number 1 Mexican player I think. If Dabuz was here, heâd totally Dabuz all over the place. 3-0 Spargis, 3-0 Among us guy, and 3-0 McDouble or something. Idk I didnât watch it. Thanks, Marss.

I donât get why this tournament was the last straw for Leo believers. He got 9th at GOML and people thought nothing of it, and then he gets 4TH at a MORE stacked tournament than GOML, only losing to the current #1 player and Gluttony, and yet people are suddenly like âwell he had a good run.â I hate recency bias so much
It's not that it was a bad placement (obviously better than GOML) it's just been too long since he won a major to continue even consider Leo to be in the running for best in the world. He's clearly at 5th or 6th right now

He's still a top 10 player obviously. But it just seems like his run can be stopped by other top 10 players nowadays.
Like if he can't consistently beat Light, Sonix, Gluto, Sparg0, Tweek, Zomba, Acola, etc., then that's a really vast difference in the dominance he used to have. Like there isn't just a few people who are able to beat him seldomly anymore, it's everyone who is in the top 10. And it's been happening since the beginning of this year.
At what point are we allowed to say he's fallen off if we're at the 7th tournament that he's done poorly at? He's still an amazing player and capable of bouncing back, but he's nowhere where he used to be.
It's cause Leo is super dominant at Smash Factor. He's won like all of them he's attended other then Smash Factor 8 and he still got in Grands at that event.
The only tournament I've attended, I had to play against a snake player (as peach). I definitely understand the advice about watching snake at all times. The screen was so small that I could barely see the grenades or the animations. I got cooked alive
Sparg0's game play kinda reminds me a bit of MattyG's Cloud back in Smash 4. Complete comfort with Cloud's movement pretty much at all times is so much fun to watch

Mash jump and if ur within footstool range youâll footstool, bc he had used his double jump there were no other options triggered by the jump button so u can just mash it

Idk if it is a hot take or not, and it's nothing against Spargo, he's amazing, but I find his Cloud really lame to watch. It is so much safe spacing with back air and forward air, sprinkled with some up-b's, and both moves just eats opponents shield for breakfast.

I brought this up on Esam's latest vid, but: For me, it isn't Sparg0, it's Ultimate Cloud.
Say what you will about Sm4sh Cloud, I will not disagree with you, but he still was way more interesting to me than his current iteration. They took away all the focus on limit - his most unique attribute - and standardized his game plan into âswing massive sword aerialsâ like most swordfighters in Ultimate, and then they ALSO took away most of those aerialsâ utility.
Sm4sh cloud may have been a travesty in terms of game balance, but he was still significantly more interesting to watch. It's not Sparg0's fault he's not playing the best version of his character to have ever existed.
Outside of the Xenoblade girls, Steve, and Sanic, what other characters fit into the Could archetype? Boring to watch and cheat in the sense where you can win despite putting in far less effort and execution than your opponent.
