Manisha Koirala is legend of Indian movies and not restricted to Nepal's pride. The kind of role she took in 90s were too good. Parinda, Bombay, 1947, Dil Se. Its sad that not a single filmmaker in Nepal could write a character that justify her acting talent.
I used to be a great advocate of Nepali cinema and it's product as a whole but investing enough time and money as an audience is not worth it when the product it self is by par the minimum of what is expected. I wait for cinemas like "Aaina Jhyal ko Putali" and "Halkara" but also want enough commercial movies to keep us entertain. With limited actors we have in the industry the cast is saturated with same people playing same roles in every movies. For example, enough of Dayahang and Miruna, enough of Sishir Bagdel playing the harsh voice villain, enough of Bijay Baral giving the forced comedic gag, enough of Buddi tamang and his hait. You see veteran actors in Bollywood with different looks and crafts everytime experimenting with the writting they have. When you force same group of actors to do same again and again, this is no longer a different product. Focus on your writing first, we will happily hug any thing you give with honesty.
I dont think she represented to nepal in the world,there is not even one word regarding nepali culture which she played movies, she played for indian movie industry, she is know as a indian actress for the world not as a nepali actress
Lots of roundtable discussions happened around cinemas all over the world. These types of roundtables are completely missing in Nepali industry . Finally got to witness it in form of podcast . As an cinephile, I was always eager to learn about economics of Nepali film industry and it's great to hear this from some prolific filmmaker of the country. Anil Keshari Shah is good host and what I liked about him most is his listening skills . A good speaker is always a great listener. At one point of time , he was not talking for 30 mins (25% of total time ) and he was letting conversation flow in natural path . That's a quality every podcast host should have . All the personality were incredible but Min was an outstand personality for today . And one thing that I would like to suggest to host is take enough time from guest because we could clearly see Manisha was in hurry and checking phones and wanted to end conversations quickly. Podcast is something which takes more time than conventional interview. So it will be good to arrange guest in their enough time . Just a personal observation. I might be wrong about Manisha being in hurry 😊
Manisha is the only person whom I can proudly call a celebrity. Because of her billions of People know about Nepal, she endorses Nepal through her art, if you really make proud of your country your should come out of your community, it's easy to be famous within the Community but difficult outside of your community, I salute to Manisha and the Fashion designer PRABAL GURUNG, they are a gem of Nepal, and they make Nepal proud

I am a big fan of Nepali Cinemas! Hats off to all the artists, directors, producers and technicians, despite all the hurdles, backlash and criticism they are dedicated to make movies and create successful industry for upcoming generations. Entertainment industry can contribute in large scale towards economy and generate great deal of tax revenue. It took me three days to finish this podcast but enjoyed it throughly 🙏🏼

Marketing is really important, when all the Spiderman and other comics series get realesed, I have niece who goes to school here in Sydney, the school teachers asks parents to send kids school in Superhero custumes. So that means whole B2B level of marketing is necessary to get target audience. Sending corporate voucher definitely boosts up the sales. Also, the content of movie needs to revamp as well because with high admiration of Daya Dai and Miruna, we need some other crazy shits to watch, something blockbuster. Kudos to all the guests and Anil sir.
