- This hobby project is dedicated to stereoscopic macro. 3D in my name refers to stereoscopy, not CGI. This is all real mother nature creations, not AI.

• Why the shaking: On this channel everything stays still during the photo session, and only camera moves. I am adding the wiggling to improve your depth and form perception on a flat screen. • This is mostly in focus because I am using "Focus stacking" in all of my videos. It allows me to combine many different focus points in one sharp result.
• Camera: As a macro photographer I am using my custom built setup called MacroLab3D System. One of a kind, not for sale.

-But why?
-The microscopic world is so small that we can't see it without a microscope. But even with a microscope, we can only see a thin line of focus. Also, microscopes are very expensive, and not everyone has one. Here on this channel, you can experience having this expensive microscope in stereo-plus, as a bonus, everything is fully in focus, since I am using focus stacking. Focus stacking combines multiple images with different focus points (thin lines of focus) into a fully focused result. And to show you the depth on a flat screen, I am using wiggle stereoscopy. Here on this channel, you also have the ability to watch it in VR Cinema if you have a device, using one of the many stereo formats within the 'Playlists' section.

I work with endangered species, particularly small animals, within a public facing institution. The species could use this kind of PR.
Impressive. How do you achieve such magnification and focus on moving insects out in the wild (it's complicated enough in a lab environment) but it looks like you are just approaching a subject with the telescope being handheld (on a "jiggle rig" in this case), outside in a challenging lighting environment and all. How do you accomplish those insane zoom shots?

Wow this handles side-fumbling better than my encabulator! And all in an ergonomic virtual form factor. When I was at Rockwell we were working on a device like this but never perfected it. How did you handle the modial capacitance problems? The spurving valves were always shorting the panametric fan.
I would like to see a video that not only introduces the results taken, but also the equipment used to take the photos.

I work in 3D environment and often we have to share screenshots between the workers. It was often annoying because if there are a lot of elements, it's hard to see the image nicely. I sometimes started doing gifs while I am wiggling the camera view so it can be seen much better. In PPT presentations I also often used 2 slides with the same image but made from different perspective, so if you swapped between 2 slides quickly with arrow keys, you could feel the depth much better.
Also, another nice way for 3D viewing is side-by-side 3D, but I think 99.9% of people don't know how to use the cross eye method to look at 3D images, or they don't even heard about it. Wiggling seems nice cause it's accessible for everyone

Я був на вас підписаний бозна скільки часу, мабуть ще з 2021-го, бо колись бачив ваш шорт з кульковою ручкою і забув про ваш канал, але лише зараз ютуб нарешті вирішив підкинути мені ваш новий шорт. Ютуб такий ютуб. Раджу вам увірватися на редіт, якщо ви ще не.
У мене є припущення, як ви робите ці відео. Я припускаю, що об'єктив вашого мікроскопу лишається нерухомим, а ви насправді зміщуєте отвір діафрагми. Тоді виходить, що площина фокусу на предметі зйомки повинна бути стабільною у кадрі. Скажіть будь ласка, чи я вгадав, чи ні? :)
Нарешті український комент :). Ви не вгадали і я не хочу вас ще більше заплутувати але це все дуже складний процес і дуже дорогий. Настільки що ніхто крім мене за це не береться. Так, ютуб мене відправив в тіньовий бан сукчка аж на три роки. Ну як так? Типу мій контент не заслуговує уваги на від міну тих всіх тупих відосів де боже боже. Та й таке. :)

Якість картинки у ваших роботах надзвичайно висока! І ефект об'єму від ворушіння камери справді потужний. Хоча особисто я залюбки дивився би на вашу роботу у вигляді паралельних стереопар з широкою базою. Може ви десь викладаєте анімовані стереопари? На редіті є кілька сабів присвячених стереопарам, ви могли б туди позакидати ваші роботи. Я знайшов ваше відео для стереопристроїв czcams.com/video/3NsrteOfnHU/video.html, але не знаю, як відобразити його як просту стереопару, ютуб не дозволяє. :(
@@MacroLab3D А стосовно вашого процесу, раз це не ворушіння отвору діафрагми, то значить ви скоріш за все робите масив знімків з фокусом на різну дистанцію і з різних точок у просторі. І потім ви мабуть якимось пітоном комбінуєте ділянки, які у фокусі (звісно, що реальний процес у вас значно складніший). Якщо справді це якось так, то ви потенційно можете зробити lightfield візуалізацію ваших робіт для VR. Це було б дуже круто!
В будь якому разі, у вас скоріш за все є VR для вінди - обов'язково подивіться безкоштовну демку зі стіма "Welcome to Light Fields", якщо ще не дивилися, вам точно сподобається!
Я сам працюю у геймдеві і зокрема працюю з віаром (в т.ч. з квестом). Можемо подумати про якусь співпарацю, або просто потеревенити по цим темам якось, якщо вам буде цікаво. :)

Сподіваюсь, ви розглянете lightfield візуалізацію для VR. Такого контенту не вистачає на віар платформах.
@@SergTTL А я теж з геймдева і теж віар ентузіаст ще з часів Oculus Development Kit1. І цей проект я почав суто з задумкою під віар, але трішки (дуже) поспішив. Але кілька відосів з тих пір ще висить, гляньте бо мені цікава ваша думка. Розділ плейлисти, там буде кілька різних форматів. Раджу SBS - він найбільш якісний. Дивитись в Virtual Desktop або де вам зручно, на великому віртуальному триде екрані. Я думав багато, ідей море але прикол - нікому воно не треба. Хіба якийсь меценат проспонсорує розробку.

At first I thought this was videography with some sort of weird gimbal rig to get the movement, but you're taking individual frames?! How long does it take you to shoot and edit?!
Props though, it's super creative, original, and good content. Original ideas are getting harder and harder to come by.

They are not supporting focus stacked input images, and all of mine are focus stacked. Hopefully they will fix that.

This is a custom setup called MacroLab3D. All macro photographers build their systems out of available parts to their particular needs.
It was already clear that wiggling allows one to understand the depth and see the structure.
What is the minimum size you can do this at? I would like to see a microorganism in 3d
Yes, this is my dream goal also. Currently impossible due to lack of equipment, but one day hopefully I will make it.

Of course. I am not an inventor. This is focus stacking and wiggle stereoscopy + expensive macro photography gear.

is the lens wiggling, sensor wiggling or the whole camera?
I am taking several photos from different angles and then loop them in motion to get the wiggling.
